It was Game 7 of Group C and all eyes were on Goldsmith Williams to see if they could make it 3 wins out of 3 and maintain their 100% record. In their way stood Pricers Whiteley All Stars who had just recorded their first point of the day and would be looking to build on that in this fixture.

There was not much in it in the first half and a solitary Liam Currie strike separated the two sides at the break. In the second half Currie's strike did not stay solitary as he added a second and a third to complete a hat-trick and a 3-0 win that saw them maintain their customary position at the top of their group. It was a third hat-trick for Liam Currie in eurofootballfives.com competition.

Pricers Whiteley All Stars had played well but would not be adding to their points tally. They would remain in 4th position.

We previewed games in the last round with Norton Hill Old Boys playing an impressive Goldsmith Williams group record and they would now play an impressive Cheesecake FC record with just 1 defeat in 10 group games. That defeat did come in the last fixture though so how would Cheesecake FC respond?

They really needed the points to try and stay in pursuit of Cosegur Balear and Goldsmith Williams with the latter 6 points clear of them at kick-off in this match. Norton Hill Old Boys had suffered two heavy defeats and did not want another but that's exactly what happened.

Wes Armstrong opened the scoring, Luc Osborne's first of the day made it 2-0 and Waseem Khalique made it 3-0 at half-time. There was more of the same in the second period with Khalique making it 4-0. A Justin Rees double at the end crowned a 6-0 victory and Cheesecake FC had bounced back in style. They were still very much in the hunt for Cup qualification.

Norton Hill Old Boys were in need of a change of luck and change of results as they were arguably the strongest team in Group C….they must be….they were holding up the rest.

The final game of Round 3 saw Inextremes meet Cosegur Balear. Cosegur Balear brought two wins to the table and a third would see them join Goldsmith Williams at the top of Group C – a 4-0 win would put them dead level, a 5-1 win or better would give them the lead on goal difference or goals scored depending upon the margin of victory.

Inextremes had started with defeat but just picked up a point so they came into the game with renewed hope. They drew their last game 0-0 and that was the exact scoreline at half-time in this one. Defensively they were looking sound but could they break their duck and score their first goals of the game?

In a word, no. Cosegue Balear kept a 3rd successive clean sheet and they also managed to find the goals they needed at the other end as Jose Daniel Fernandez Arenas broke the stalemate before Carlos Cruz Gomez made the game safe.

Cosegur Balear joined Goldsmith Williams at the top, Inextremes remained in 5th position.
