The
Midlanders were next up as they hosted Urbansport.
The former found themselves down in fifth position
despite just the one defeat today – draws rather
than wins had curtailed their march up the table.
They had their work cut out in this game as
they took on the league leaders.
Urbansport
were currently at the top of the table with
a 100% record. They had scored 11 goals today
and conceded just 1 so were red hot favourites
for this but The Midlanders hadn't read the
script.
Matthew
Homer had scored twice today and he was about
to make a name for himself and become a thorn
in Urbansport's side. He scored a goal in each
half and The Midlanders were on course for a
famous win. Urbansport were about to stage a
remarkable comeback though.
Juanito
Garcia registered his fifth goal of the tournament
for Urbansport to reduce the deficit to 2-1.
The Spanish were back on level terms when Charly
Navarro scored the vital equalizer. Urbansport
had lost their 100% record but they remained
unbeaten.
The
draw did not really help The Midlanders too
much. It was better for Urbansport who edged
closer to the Cup competition.
