At the start of Round 4 it was AFC Basemen versus Hellgarve Kraken's.

Hellgarve Kraken's were unbeaten today with 4 points from a possible 6. That unbeaten run now stretched to 10 games overall in eurofootballfives.com competition. The last time they lost was in their opening game at the 2019 Lisbon Tournament – to the eventual winners of that tournament.

AFC Basemen had started off today unbeaten from their first two games but had just tasted defeat for the first time. That defeat was to the defending champions (Bar Maruru) but this was a tough fixture to try and bounce back.

AFC Basemen took the lead in their previous fixture and they were ahead again here through Jack Utting. It was the first goal that Hellgarve Kraken's had conceded today. At the other end Robbie Heywood collected his second clean sheet as AFC Basemen picked up a superb victory.

GHSFC were next up on Pitch B as they took on Neptune Rams. Last time out GHSFC had picked up their first win. If they collect a second then they would shoot up the table. They could go into second position in the table.

Neptune Rams had taken 1 point from 9 so far and currently sat in seventh position. They still had 3 games including this one to put points on the board. If they could put a string of wins together then a place in the Cup was not out of the question.

We were treated to a great game – particularly if you were GHSFC – as we had 5 goals to savour. Karan Bains scored the opener for the men from Dartford. That lead didn't last long though as James Thornhill levelled it up with his second goal in as many games.

GHSFC regained the lead as Arjan Chagger made it 2-1. Jasraj Sandhu then gave them breathing space as he made it 3-1. Maahn Singh then became their fourth different scorer in the game as he sealed a 4-1 victory.

Game 12 of Group B was Deddington Sea Men versus Bar Maruru. This promised to be quite a game. Deddington Sea Men started Round 4 with a five point lead at the top of the table. GHSFC's win in the game above had reduced that lead to 3 points.

This was Deddington Sea Men's toughest game yet against the defending champions. If they could secure a win here they would have a 6 point lead, secure Cup qualification and not to mention a huge morale boost. The English team got off to a sensational start as goals from Robert Bradford and Mark Cook put them in the driving seat.

Before this game, Bar Maruru had a sensational record in our tournaments. From their 16 games they had won 13, drawn 2 and lost just 1. In the process they had scored 44 goals for the loss of just 7. They were in big danger of collecting their second defeat in our events.

Farid Echanghoufi then came to the rescue of Bar Maruru as he reduced the deficit to 2-1. He then salvaged a point for his team as he made it 2-2. Deddington Sea Men would no doubt be disappointed not to pick up the in but they had a 4 point lead at the top to console them.
