Our fifth ever Trophy Final now awaited us and we had been treated to some superb Finals before.

The first ever Trophy Final in eurofootballfives.com history took place in Berlin 2012 and was a dramatic affair as Hertha Beerlin versus FC Cobaltslautern went all the way to penalties.

In Valencia 2012, Sporting Abeergut held off a late rally from FC Dad to win it 3-2.

At the 2013 Barcelona Fives we needed another penalty shoot-out as Spain's Drunk Perfect and Ireland's Deportivo Dooradoyle drew 1-1. The Irish team then won 2-1 on penalties.

Then, earlier this year at the 2014 Budapest Fives, Contejus Hurricanes (with a man sent off) holding on to a close 2-1 win over Cava Sundays.

Could Fireball and Ziar Crew live up to these expectations in the 2014 Bratislava Fives Trophy Final? The one thing we knew was that it would be a Slovakian team taking the glory.

Ziar Crew had scored an incredible 15 goals in 2 games to reach this Trophy Final but they drew a blank in the first half here as Fireball took the lead through Miroslav Sloboda. It was Sloboda's ninth goal of the tournament – a great return.

The second half was a completely different story as Ziar Crew rediscovered their goalscoring touch. Matej Rapcan equalized for 1-1 and then turned the game on its head by putting Ziar Crew 2-1 up. He then completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1 and secured victory with a fourth goal to make it 4-1. It was then left to Lubos Hromota to round off proceedings and complete a sensational 5-1 victory. There could be no doubt that, with 20 goals in 3 games, Ziar Crew were worthy winners of this competition.

As well as team success there was individual success as Matej Rapcan would finish tournament top goalscorer with a record of 13 goals in 8 games. Congratulations to him.

Our commiserations go to Fireball who gave it a real go and went on to collect Runners Up medals. We look forward to seeing them return to action in the future and maybe the medals they pick up will be of the winning variety.
