Round 4 of Group A began with a resurgent Dynamo Clapham versus Ziar Crew who were looking for their first win. Dynamo Clapham were unbeaten in two games and upwardly mobile. Another win would take them into a share of the lead.

The preceding 9 fixtures in Group A had all been close affairs with goals at a premium – 3 goals was the most we'd seen in one game so far. We had three goals in the first half alone here as Ziar Crew made a mockery of their status as the sixth placed team in Group A by surging into a 3-0 lead. A Lubos Hromota strike put them on their way before Matej Rapcan scored for the second game in a row – not once, but twice.

In the second half we went absolutely goal crazy as Dynamo Clapham hit back through Liam Kelly, Craig Fawcett, Matt Spencer and Craig Fawcett again. Whilst the goals went in at one end they were also being leaked at the other as Matej Rapcan completed his hat-trick before Karol Valko and Tomas Valko scored the goals that ultimately sealed the deal in a sensational 6-4 win.

So close was this group that it shot Ziar Crew up from sixth to second although they had played a game more than four of the other teams in the table.

#Burst It were up next and were up against Frankie's Footballing Fantasy. Both teams had a win, a loss and a draw on four points. They trailed Skidmarks by 3 points and with games running out a win here would be massive in the context of Group A.

Frankie's Footballing Fantasy struck the first blow as Larry Moore scored for the second game in a row to give his side the advantage. It was to get even better for Frankie's Footballing Fantasy as Dave Tyrell doubled the lead before half-time to give them a cushion.

#Burst It had a job on their hands to avoid slipping to a second successive defeat and their task became even more difficult when Andy “Frankie” Gauld scored increased the lead to 3-0 and there was no way back for #Burst It.

It was a result that put Frankie's Footballing Fantasy top of the table on goal difference with just one game to go. It was enough to bring the cameras out to take a photo of the league standings as they stood.

Skidmarks had the opportunity to knock Frankie's Footballing Fantasy off the top with a win or draw as they met DHL Prague. With the other results in Round 4 so far DHL Prague had dropped to the foot of the table and before kick-off this was joint-top versus bottom so surely a home banker for the team at the top?

In such a tight group I don't think there was anything like “a banker” in Group A and that's the way it was proving in this game. The first half was without a goal and it was all level at the break.

In the second half it was DHL Prague who struck a hammer blow as Frenchman Jeremie Touret put the team from the Czech Republic 1-0 up. Could Skidmarks respond? With time running out they needed a goal to prevent slipping to their first defeat in a group game since their debut at the 2011 Valencia Fives.

Before today, Skidmarks had played 18 games, won 12, drawn 6, scored 53 goals and conceding just 15 as they amassed 42 points. Add in today's 3 games so far and that record reads 21 games, won 14, drawn 7 with 57 goals for and 16 against on the way to 49 points.

Skidmarks were unable to beat Ilia Kreys in the DHL Prague goal and their proud record was gone. More importantly, the 1-0 defeat meant they were unable to restore their lead in Group A as DHL Prague climbed to third place. The result meant that at the start of Round 4 the bottom three teams all defeated the top three teams.
