So, onto Round 5 we go and the last attempts for the teams to stake their claim for the title, Cup qualification or Plate qualification. First up was Ziar Crew against #Burst It.

The stakes were high for both teams as even though #Burst It were currently sixth they could still make the Cup in second position should all results go perfectly for them but #Burst It had to win. In such a close Group A the permutations were endless so these two teams just had to win and see where that result would take them.

#Burst It had started well with 4 points from a possible 6 before two successive defeats. With no subs and the sun blazing maybe it was taking its toll but they would need to raise their energy levels for one last time in the group phase. Their opponents, Ziar Crew, were rejuvenated after picking up their first win and bagging six goals was the momentum with them?

There was a first half goal for Ziar Crew's Matej Rapcan with his fifth goal of the tournament but it could not prevent the home team going into half-time 2-1 down. Goals from Daniel Davies and Will Dixon giving #Burst It the lead at the break.

#Burst It were the big losers in Round 4 as they slipped from second to sixth position so it was a great comeback for them. The comeback got even better as Joe Rees made it 3-1 and with that the three points were in the bag. It was a great win for them and they now just had to sit and wait for their fate in the knock-out phase.

Dynamo Clapham and Skidmarks went into their final fixtures both needing victory. #Burst It's win meant there were now three teams on 7 points at the top and Dynamo Clapham could join them with a win here. Skidmarks were one of those teams on 7 points already and they could confirm their place in the Cup with a victory. As Frankie's Footballing Fantasy and DHL Prague were due to meet in the final game, even a draw for Skidmarks would see them through.

As this group was so tight some teams were in a position where they could qualify for the Cup with a win but even slip into the Trophy with a defeat. Dynamo Clapham were in such a position (acknowledging goal difference also a factor with the win) but the win looked a way off as Skidmarks hit them twice in the first half. James DeWinter bagged both goals.

In the second half Gary Hatfield made it 3-0 to Skidmarks which sealed the win for them and took them past the 50-point mark in eurofootballfives.com group games. The victory meant they continued their 100% record of Cup qualification a great achievement.

For Dynamo Clapham, it meant they would go through to the Trophy competition.

The 15th and final game of Group A was Frankie's Footballing Fantasy versus DHL Prague. Frankie's Footballing Fantasy currently sat in second position and only needed a draw to qualify for the Cup competition for the first time ever. If they were to lose though they would finish third with a one-goal defeat but slip to fourth if they lost by more.

For DHL Prague it was simple, win the game and finish in second position in Group A to qualify for the Cup. A draw would see them finish fourth on goal difference behind #Burst It on 7 points. A defeat would also mean fourth position and the Plate.

At half-time we were no closer to knowing the final outcome of the group table as we were locked together at 0-0. As the game went the first goal was going to be increasingly crucial and, as it proved, there was to be just one goal to decide this fixture. Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Ian Hunt for DHL Prague who clinched second place and Cup qualification for his team.

For Frankie's Footballing Fantasy it was close but no cigar but it should not be lost that they'd put in a superb performance this morning here in Bratislava.
