Dynamo
Clapham and Skidmarks went into their final
fixtures both needing victory. #Burst It's win
meant there were now three teams on 7 points
at the top and Dynamo Clapham could join them
with a win here. Skidmarks were one of those
teams on 7 points already and they could confirm
their place in the Cup with a victory. As Frankie's
Footballing Fantasy and DHL Prague were due
to meet in the final game, even a draw for Skidmarks
would see them through.
As
this group was so tight some teams were in a
position where they could qualify for the Cup
with a win but even slip into the Trophy with
a defeat. Dynamo Clapham were in such a position
(acknowledging goal difference also a factor
with the win) but the win looked a way off as
Skidmarks hit them twice in the first half.
James DeWinter bagged both goals.
In
the second half Gary Hatfield made it 3-0 to
Skidmarks which sealed the win for them and
took them past the 50-point mark in eurofootballfives.com
group games. The victory meant they continued
their 100% record of Cup qualification – a great
achievement.
For
Dynamo Clapham, it meant they would go through
to the Trophy competition.
