Last but not least, we come to Group D where the group began with CIS Committee versus The Spider Mans and Eagle FC.

CIS Committee (Blr) became the first team from Belarus to compete in eurofootballfives.com competition when they made their debut in the 2011 Prague Masters. They showed sensational form in the group phase winning their first four games before finishing with a draw as they won Group B. They were then surprisingly defeated in the Cup Quarter Finals via Golden Goal 2-1 to Dark Horses. CIS returned to eurofootballfives.com action in May 2014 and it was a winning return as they claimed the 2014 Budapest Fives title. Could they continue that form 4 months later in Slovakia?

They found good quality opposition in The Spider Mans and Eagle and a keenly contested first half ended with the teams unable to be separated 0-0. After the break CIS Committee moved through the gears and ran out 3-0 victors. They were on the winning trail again.

The Spider Mans and Eagle FC should not be too disappointed – not all games would be this difficult!

Match 2 in Group D saw Tommie's Guns versus Murder on Zidanes Floor.

Tommie's Guns, like Fritzl Palace in Group C, were on eurofootballfives.com debut but did feature amongst their ranks players who have eurofootballfives.com experience. Joe Latimer and Andy Day are stalwarts of the Contejus Hurricanes side who travelled as recently as the 2014 Budapest Fives and feature a 2012 Algarve Open Plate victory amongst their accomplishments.

Murder on Zidanes Floor was the second team from the Rigford Seahawks stable featuring in the tournament but not taking the Seahawks name.

Goals in this game were conspicuous by their absence as defences and goalkeepers were on top. This was particularly commendable to Murder on Zidanes Floor whose goalkeeper, Ben Kent, had celebrated his 30th birthday the night before. With the double vision of a hangover he possibly saved twice as many efforts as there were shots on his goal. Final score, 0-0.

The last two teams to get underway were both local team Fireball taking on the might of travelling team, Saga Louts.

The Saga Louts were the second team from the Bure Park Old Boys touring party. We touched on this in Group A with Frankie's Footballing Fantasy but Bure Park Old Boys made their eurofootballfives.com debut at the 2009 Prague Trophy before making a hat-trick of Valencia appearances from 2010 to 2012 before moving on to Krakow in 2013. The Saga Louts had registered their best performance to date - a Cup Quarter-Final in the 2012 Valencia Fives. In the 2013 Krakow Trophy the Saga Louts went all the way to the Plate Final. They lead 3-0 at one stage but were hauled in by Awiw and eventually defeated on penalties.

They made a good start to the Bratislava Fives by forging a 2-1 lead at half-time with David Ayris a two-goal hero. Lukas Zivner was on the scoresheet for Fireball to keep the Slovakians in touching distance.

After the break Jakub Racek scored an equalizer to make it 2-2 and secured a vital point for the home team. With Tommie's Guns and Murder on Zidanes Floor also drawing it was maybe not the worst result in the world but those extra two points would have been hugely valuable.
