We had our first ever Czech Republic versus Slovakia fixture in our 8 year history to look forward to in Game 4 of Group A. DHL Prague were due to meet Ziar Crew.

It had been a slow start for DHL Prague after a good night out in Bratislava and they were looking to bounce back from opening game defeat. Ziar Crew on the other hand had produced a really encouraging first performance as they took a point from two-times winners Skidmarks.

On the basis of the opening results you may well have had a suspicion for a Ziar Crew victory but DHL Prague were growing into the tournament and this was a very evenly matched contest.

We were to witness three goals and it was DHL Prague who took the victory by the odd goal in 3 as two goals from Rupert Baltrock outgunned the solitary strike from Martin Namesny. DHL Prague were off and running.

In the next game we had Dynamo Clapham looking for their first victory and seeing if they could emulate DHL Prague by bouncing back from opening game defeat. They were due to face Round 1 winners #Burst It.

Earlier, we promised a fuller preview of #Burst It who were competing in a eurofootballfives.com tournament for the fourth successive year and making a fifth appearance (all under different names). They made their debut in the 2011 Budapest Fives for captain Jack Croft's stag weekend with 3 teams. The pick of the squads went on to reach the Plate Final finishing Runners-up to Hungarian side Al-Kaloida. They returned as Arse-A-Lona FC in the 2011 Barca Fives where they reached the Plate Semi-Finals and lost narrowly, 1-0, to the eventual winners HMS Sultan FC. They competed in the 2012 Berlin Fives as FC Wein Schweine Fliegen and finished 3rd in a 6-team group before a Plate Semi-Final defeat to East Compton Seagulls. Last time out saw them compete in the 2013 Algarve Open as Let Us Win or Elsie. They drew the Group of Death that saw them finish 5th in Group A which featured 3 of the 4 Cup Semi-Finalists. They reached the Plate Semi-Finals before a narrow 2-1 defeat to eventual Plate Winners Water Boy.

The two teams both appeared in the 2012 Berlin Fives and they almost met in the Plate Semi-Finals but Dynamo Clapham (playing as Bayer Never Lose Em) narrowly lost their Quarter-Final 1-0 to prevent this outcome.

Today, in Bratislava, it was first blood to Dynamo Clapham as Liam Kelly gave his team a first half-lead. After the break Joe Rees hit back to equalise for 1-1 and that's how it finished, 1-1.

The final game of Round 2 was Frankie's Footballing Fantasy against Skidmarks. Frankie's Footballing Fantasy were looking to build on their opening game win. Skidmarks opened up with a steady point and were looking to kickstart their campaign with their first three points.

Both these teams competed in the 2011 Valencia Fives and had contrasting fortunes. In Group C, Skidmarks met Karma FC (who featured many of the players for Frankie's Footballing Fantasy today) and won 7-1. Skidmarks went on to win the tournament, Karma FC went on to win the Wooden Spoon.

In the three years since then the gap between the teams seems to have reduced and this was a much closer contest. However, Skidmarks were still in the ascendency and two first half goals sealed this one as Luke Hatfield hit a stunning strike to break the deadlock before James DeWinter doubled the advantage.

There was to be no further goals in the second half and the win for Skidmarks put them in a share of first place at the top of Group A with Frankie's Footballing Fantasy just a point behind.
