Slovakia were next in action and they were on a fine run of form. They were unbeaten in three games and on a run of two successive wins including victory over the previous league leaders. They would meet Los Langeros in Game 10 of Group B.

Los Langeros themselves were performing well with just the one defeat – a narrow one to Budapest Celtic Lions. This would arguably be their toughest test yet and so it proved against the local team.

Adam Kovac had certainly brought his shooting boots with him today and he scored for the third successive game in a row to put Slovakia ahead. Martin Cano doubled the lead before half-time to put Slovakia in control.

In the second half Kovac added to his tally and scored his fifth of the day. Kevin Burke got on the scoresheet for Los Langeros as the game finished 3-1. The result meant that Slovakia opened up a four point lead at the top of Group B (temporarily at least) whilst Los Langeros were unable to improve on their fourth place position for now.

Shrewsbury Townsend were currently in third position with a chance to move into second position and two points off top if they could claim a win against The El Dude Brothers. The latter had just kickstarted their campaign with a win and if they could repeat that feat could move into third and possibly even second if other results went their way.

The El Dude Brothers carried on from where they left off in Round 3 as Kev Stevens and Alex Borwick continued their forward momentum. They lead 2-0 at the break and the pressure was on Shrewsbury Townsend. For Shrewsbury Townsend it was the first time they had kicked off the second half in arrears – could they find a way back?

James Mackie continued his fine individual scoring form for Shrewsbury Townsend but it ultimately proved to be a consolation goal as a strike from Alistair McIntyre ensured that The El Dude Brothers preserved their two goal cushion come the final whistle.

It was two wins in a row for The El Dude Brothers. They were upwardly mobile and the biggest climbers in the table in Round 4.

Lads on Tour went into Round 4 looking for their first points and it was ominous for them as they faced Budapest Celtic Lions. However, it might be a good time to play them as the Lions came into the game on the back of a defeat. Could Lads on Tour take advantage?

It was certainly an improved performance from Lads on Tour and on paper it was their best result of the day. An improved performance it may have been but it was not one that would put points on the board. Yogi Agustadwi put the Hungarian team a goal to the good in the first half.

That lead was extended after the break by Lewis Kelly as Budapest Celtic Lions completed a competent 2-0 win. The win saw them consolidate their second position in the table and gave them a three point lead over the teams below them. A place in the Cup was certainly within their grasp.
