The first Plate Semi-Final saw Pajero FC meet FC Copenbadly. Pajero FC had been strong in the group phase with just two defeats and then a strong 4-1 Quarter-Final win over FC Copenbadly's sister squad, Unathletico Madrid.

FC Copenbadly had an extended lunch break due to RFM forfeiting the Quarter-Final so would this mean they'd had time to stiffen up and get rusty or would it mean they'd had that little bit extra to get air back in the lungs. The two teams had met in the group phase and played out a 1-1 draw so this would be a tough one to call.

Pajero FC started off the quicker in this game and raced into a 3-0 lead with a Liam Spencer goal sandwiched in between a Reece Morrell double. At half-time Pajero FC were in control and had one foot in the final.

FC Copenbadly were not to be written off though as Cathal Carty reduced the deficit to 3-1 but Pajero FC had enough in reserve to keep FC Copenbadly at arms' length and they ran out 3-1 winners.

The second Plate Semi-Final would see Vodafone Netherlands take on St Paul's College Old Boys. These two teams did not do draws so we expected a positive result one way or the other. Vodafone Netherlands had won three, lost three to date and St Paul's College Old Boys had four wins under their belts (and naturally two defeats as a result).

Having given the “no draw” build up it was typical that we arrived half-time all level at 1-1. Wouter Noe's fourth goal of the day for the Dutch team and David Nelson for the travelling team cancelling each other out.

In the second period James West's sixth goal of the tournament put St Paul's College Old Boys 2-1 up and won the game for his team. We had to say farewell to Vodafone Netherlands for the day but St Paul's College Old Boys had a final to prepare for.
