We were now past the halfway stage in Group B as Vodafone Netherlands and Damn Big Dogs kicked off Round 4. It was third versus fourth place in the table and it was going to be a crucial game. Vodafone Netherlands needed a win to make it a four-team race at the top. If Damn Big Dogs could win then it would mean it was definitely a three team race and very much create a league of two halves.

Vodafone Netherlands had been charitable against Big Dogs agreeing to chalk off the goalkeeper's “goal” and they benefitted from charity in this game due to an own goal from the Damn Big Dogs. That's as far as the charity extended though as Damn Big Dogs rattled off their third successive victory as Will Watkins, Andrew Jeffries and Haydn Gush all scored in a 3-1 victory.

It meant Damn Big Dogs were on a serious charge and moved to the top of Group B. They had lay down the gauntlet to Big Dogs and Team Extreme to put the pressure on these teams to keep winning. The result meant Vodafone Netherlands were now four points off third place and could no longer make the Cup. They did lead the way in the battle for a place in the Plate over RFM and Unathletico Madrid though.

Big Dogs came into Round 4 unbeaten with 7 points from a possible 9 so far. They had seen their tour-colleagues move above them in the league table and would be champing at the bit to claim another victory to move them back to the top. Their opponents were RFM.

RFM had started off well with a solid point but since then slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat and most recently a heavy 6-1 defeat. Their form was on a downward curve and you might expect this to be a comfortable win for Big Dogs after the psychological damage of the 6-1 defeat to Team Extreme. RFM had managed to regroup a little though and they put in a great shift and ran Big Dogs very close.

There was little to choose between the two teams at the Full Time whistle and it was Big Dogs who emerged victorious by the odd goal in three, 2-1. Big Dogs had Stephen Lawley and Jack Penley to thank for the goals that would send them back to the top of the table.

For RFM it was a shame as they'd come so close but they did have a goal to celebrate (from their goalkeeper) and the resurgence in form would give them some renewed hope going into their final Group B fixture.

Team Extreme had seen Big Dogs and Damn Big Dogs both win so the pressure was on for them to match their opponents and they needed a victory to go back to the top on goal difference. A draw would see them lose ground and sit in third place whilst a defeat would severely hinder their Cup qualification hopes.

In their way stood Unathletico Madrid who had so far had a similar journey to RFM with a solid opening point before a 2-1 defeat and most recently a heavier defeat. They had seen RFM in the previous match regain some form (albeit in a losing cause) and could they do the same? A win for Unathletico Madrid would see them move up to 4th position in the table.

The first half was keenly contested and there was just one goal to divide the teams going into the break. Perhaps, based on results so far today, it was no surprise that it was Team Extreme who walked off the field a goal to the good. Nabil Zawadi was the goalscorer in the opening period.

After the break Team Extreme eased away from their opponents as a Dean Tinney double put them 3-0 up. Antonio Vernaschi put the icing on the cake to make it 4-0 and Team Extreme were back at the summit of Group B with a very healthy goal difference.

Unathletico Madrid remained in sixth position but had one last group game to try and get that, hitherto, elusive victory.
