The
above result meant we had two teams on 9 points
(East Compton Eagles, Athletico Do Hollande)
and one more team had the opportunity to join
them – Pajero FC. They would play FC Copenbadly
who were so far without a point for their efforts
so far.
For
the first time in Group A we reached half-time
goalless, 0-0. It was a tight game throughout
and FC Copenbadly looked like they were on course
for their first win of the day when Mark Ralph
put his team ahead. It was particularly cruel
on FC Copenbadly that it took one moment of
sheer brilliance to deny them their first victory.
From
deep within his own half, Rob Jones struck a
great effort to defeat the FC Copenbadly goalkeeper.
The goal had come out of nowhere and in a flash
Pajero FC were level at 1-1. That's how it stayed
until the final whistle and although FC Copenbadly
didn't have their first win they did have their
first point.
The
draw put Pajero FC on to 7 points and occupied
third place on their own going into the last
round of fixtures.
