We began Round 4 with Athletico Do Hollande versus AAK S&S. Both teams were on 6 points and chasing East Compton Eagles. The difference between the two sides was that Athletico Do Hollande had two games in hand. For AAK S&S this would be their last game of the group and the last opportunity to champion their cause for Cup/Plate qualification.

The game proved to be one of the best in Group A to date. There was not a great deal to separate the two teams in the first half but separated they were due to a solitary Jerrel Fraenk goal. In the second period Jerrel Fraenk made it 2-0 and it looked like normal service resumed for Athletico Do Hollande as they looked to make it 9 points out of a possible 9. The three points looked signed, sealed and delivered when Jerrel Fraenk completed his hat-trick for 3-0 with three quarters of the game played.

AAK S&S were not giving this game up without a fight. Kevin Stork reduced the deficit to 3-1 in what initially looked like a consolation but it was certainly more than that when Richard Clubley made it 3-2. They were the first goals Athletico Do Hollande had conceded and the Dutch team were clearly worried.

With time against them AAK S&S pushed forward in search of an equaliser which ultimately proved elusive. They would inevitably leave gaps at the back seeking out a third goal and Jerrel Fraenk could have sealed it at 4-2 missing a golden opportunity on the break but it did not matter as the final whistle went.

It was a great performance to end their Group A campaign and should give AAK S&S confidence going into the knock-out phase – they would have to wait and see what fate awaited them.

The above result meant we had two teams on 9 points (East Compton Eagles, Athletico Do Hollande) and one more team had the opportunity to join them – Pajero FC. They would play FC Copenbadly who were so far without a point for their efforts so far.

For the first time in Group A we reached half-time goalless, 0-0. It was a tight game throughout and FC Copenbadly looked like they were on course for their first win of the day when Mark Ralph put his team ahead. It was particularly cruel on FC Copenbadly that it took one moment of sheer brilliance to deny them their first victory.

From deep within his own half, Rob Jones struck a great effort to defeat the FC Copenbadly goalkeeper. The goal had come out of nowhere and in a flash Pajero FC were level at 1-1. That's how it stayed until the final whistle and although FC Copenbadly didn't have their first win they did have their first point.

The draw put Pajero FC on to 7 points and occupied third place on their own going into the last round of fixtures.

Before we got to Round 5 though we had the small matter of Athletico Do Hollande against East Compton Eagles. It was a heavyweight contest between the two teams at the top of Group A. Both teams had played three and won three, sat on 9 points and had been free-scoring up until now. The two teams were virtually assured Cup qualification but the Group A title was at stake and a potentially easier Quarter-Final was another prize for the winners.

There was a goal in each half to decide proceedings. Mitchel Vriendryk scored the goal in the first half and Moises Alves scored the goal in the second half. When we tell you that both players were on the books of Athletico Do Hollande they you'll know that it was the Dutch side who emerged victorious from this encounter.

Athletico Do Hollande kept their 100% record going. East Compton Eagles should not be too despondent though – they were still very much in the frame for this tournament.
