Game
2 of Group A saw some familiar friends and faces
in the form of East Compton Eagles and a team
new to the eurofootballfives.com fold in Pajero
FC.
East
Compton Eagles have tasted eurofootballfives.com
action on two previous occasions. They made
their debut at our inaugural Berlin Fives tournament
in 2012. They had two sides “Eagles” and “Seagulls”.
The Eagles finished joint top (and level with
the eventual Runners-Up) of their group and
made the Cup Semi-Finals where they went out
to the eventual winners, Rigford Seahawks. At
the 2013 Mallorca Fives they had another successful
group phase as they topped Group B ahead of
2012 Valencia Fives champions FC Miracle (Hun)
and another team who will be here in Amsterdam
this weekend - Team Extreme (Eng). East Compton
Eagles run in Mallorca ended at the hands of
two-times eurofootballfives.com winners Skidmarks
in the Cup Semi-Finals. Can they go one step
further and reach the Cup Final this year?
It
certainly looked good for them early on against
Pajero FC as they raced into a 3-0 first half
lead with Richard Manns, Sean McCullough and
Andy Cockrean all opening their personal account.
Sean McCullough added a second to his after
the break as the game became a more even contest
in the second half. Reece Morrell scored Pajero
FC's first goal in Europe as the game ended
4-1.
