We began Round 5 with FC Copenbadly taking on Wilhelmus as fifth position took on 6th position. For Wilhelmus it was the last opportunity to put points on the board and stake a claim for a place in the Plate. It looked like at least a point would be needed given the current state of other groups. For FC Copenbadly it was not quite do or die as this was their penultimate game. 3rd place was still a possibility if they could win their last two games although it would probably not be enough for Cup qualification.

FC Copenbadly had just scored their first points in Group A in a game they almost won and they came into this game with that momentum and took the lead through Andrew Strain. A Cathal Carty double put them in command of this game and at 3-0 they were well on course for their first win.

Half-time came and went and in the second half a Richard Thompson goal extended the lead to 4-0 and it was an emphatic way to put your first three points on the board.

For Wilhelmus the result consigned them to 6 th place and a place in the Wooden Spoon play-off this afternoon.

Next up was Athletico Do Hollande versus Pajero FC. So, what was at stake for these two teams?

For Athletico Do Hollande they only needed to avoid defeat to secure the Group A title. This could still be possible even in defeat subject to the East Compton Eagles result in the next game.

For Pajero FC, a win could see them claim 2nd if East Compton Eagles lost. A draw would guarantee 3rd and may possibly be enough to qualify for the Cup as one of the best third placed teams. A defeat would mean the Plate competition and either a 3rd /4th finish subject to FC Copenbadly's final result.

Moises Alves scored his second goal in as many games to put Athletico Do Hollande in the first half before a goal-rush after half-time. We progressed from 1-0 to 3-2 with Athletico Do Hollande still holding the advantage. Deyrinio Fraenk and Owairan Cloenise were both on target for the Dutch, Jay Kwan and Rob Jones were on target for Pajero FC.

Pajero FC pushed Athletico Do Hollande close but, as with the game against AAK S&S, the local team had enough in the tank to see out the result. Final score, 3-2.

Athletico Do Hollande were Group A champions. Pajero FC would play Plate football this afternoon.

The final game of Group A was East Compton Eagles against FC Copenbadly. East Compton Eagles had played well in this group to record 3 straight wins before defeat in their previous fixture. FC Copenbadly came into the game on the back of a haul of 4 points from a possible 6. Other than the usual reasons of playing for pride and honour the two teams didn't have much to play for in terms of qualification. East Compton Eagles were guaranteed second position and a place in the Cup.

FC Copenbadly were guaranteed a place in the Plate as the maximum points haul they could make was 7 and this would not be enough to proceed as a best 3rd place finisher. A three goal win would see them finish in third place, a lesser win would see them finish fourth and a draw/defeat would mean fifth position.

FC Copenbadly continued their fine run of form by taking a 2-0 first half lead in this one. A Cathal Carty double for the second game in a row put them in charge. East Compton Eagles were staring a second successive defeat in the face (for the first time in eurofootballfives.com competition) and they had one half of football to prevent that. A Julien Russell (East Compton Eagles) goal and a Michael Ralph (FC Copenbadly) goal cancelled each other out in the second half as FC Copenbadly won 3-1.

FC Copenbadly finished in fourth and would go into the Plate as one of the teams to watch on this form. East Compton Eagles still progressed to the Cup but they needed a change of fortune.
