Next
up was Athletico Do Hollande versus Pajero FC.
So, what was at stake for these two teams?
For
Athletico Do Hollande they only needed to avoid
defeat to secure the Group A title. This could
still be possible even in defeat subject to
the East Compton Eagles result in the next game.
For
Pajero FC, a win could see them claim 2nd if
East Compton Eagles lost. A draw would guarantee
3rd and may possibly be enough to qualify for
the Cup as one of the best third placed teams.
A defeat would mean the Plate competition and
either a 3rd /4th finish subject to FC Copenbadly's
final result.
Moises
Alves scored his second goal in as many games
to put Athletico Do Hollande in the first half
before a goal-rush after half-time. We progressed
from 1-0 to 3-2 with Athletico Do Hollande still
holding the advantage. Deyrinio Fraenk and Owairan
Cloenise were both on target for the Dutch,
Jay Kwan and Rob Jones were on target for Pajero
FC.
Pajero
FC pushed Athletico Do Hollande close but, as
with the game against AAK S&S, the local
team had enough in the tank to see out the result.
Final score, 3-2.
Athletico
Do Hollande were Group A champions. Pajero FC
would play Plate football this afternoon.
