The
final team in Group B to start their challenge
was Sitges - the third successive home team to
be on debut. Their opposition, Westfield Wanderers,
now had a game under their belts.
Westfield
Wanderers started well in the opening period before
eventually being overturned. In this one they
started well again – better in fact. Instead of
taking a 1-0 lead into the break they had earned
a 3-0 lead in this fixture. It would take one
hell of a comeback for Sitges to overturn this
the way Policia Vets did.
In
this game Westfield Wanderers consolidated their
position and even went on to extend their lead
to 4-0 and wrap up all 3 points in style. There
was a goal for Aaron Dix (2 goals in 2 games for
him) plus a double for Sam Gurner adding to a
James Barter strike.
The
result put Westfield Wanderers in mid-table and
with two games to go were well placed in Group
B.
