The
Wooden Spoon was a chance for those teams who
had finished their groups in 5th place to have
a shot at redemption, a second chance and a chance
to prolong their Mallorca Tournament experience.
To
kick us off on Pitch A we had Paris St Gentleman
versus Taylor's Tigers. The two teams were unable
to register points in the group phase but the
slate was wiped clean for the knock-out phase
and it was Paris St Gentleman who took full advantage.
They
opened up a 2-0 lead and never looked back going
from strength to strength to secure a resounding
6-0 win. Dave Cotterell, Simon Debney and Colum
Ferguson (2) all scored their first goals of the
day and Danny Jones added two goals to his tally.
Paris St Gentleman stormed into the Wooden Spoon
Final.
For
Taylor's Tigers the day was over but they had
their other teams to cheer on in the Cup competition
and the second Wooden Spoon Semi-Final.
