Group B began with Saipan FC from Ireland taking on Stanford FC of England.

Stanford FC were making their third appearance in a eurofootballfives.com tournament. They made an impressive debut at the 2013 Barcelona Fives finishing second in their group and narrowly missing out on Cup qualification. They went through to the Plate where Alphasights dismissed them 3-1 in the Quarter-Finals. They then played in the 2014 Budapest Fives and found the group phase tough going as they qualified for the Trophy. A 3-1 Quarter-Final exit befell them to FC Maroon. It was a below par performance compared to their debut at the 2013 Barcelona Fives and they would hope to recapture that Barcelona form on their return to Spain.

It all began pretty well for Stanford FC as they took the lead in their opening encounter through Mark Reed. Saipan FC are nothing if not resilient and they hit back through Ignacio Mochales Cuesta to level it up before half-time.

Stanford FC regained the lead after the break as Sam Jiggings put the English 2-1 up but again Saipan FC fought back and again it was Ignacio Mochales Cuesta to level it up. The game finished 2-2.

It was a solid point for both teams but only time would tell if it was 1 point gained or 2 points dropped.

Next up was Dynamo Gunt of England against Policia Local of Spain. Both teams had previous experience here at the Mallorca Tournament with Policia Local being ever present since our Balearic launch in 2011 and Dynamo Gunt playing here in May 2013.

When they played in the same tournament in May 2013 they had mixed emotions as Dynamo Gunt (playing with 2 teams as L.I.T.S and S.I.T.S) failed to qualify for the knock-out phase in our 12-team tournament format. Policia Local qualified for the Plate but went out at the Semi-Final stage.

The two teams met in Group A two years ago and Policia Local earned a narrow 1-0 victory over the L.I.T.S squad. In the first half here, Policia Local were on the scoresheet again as Fidel Alonso scored their first of the day. Dynamo Gunt managed to breach the Policia defences this year as John Briston opened their account. It was 1-1 at half-time.

Dynamo Gunt were to exact their revenge on the result from 2 years ago when Steve Bennett put the English 2-1 up with what proved to be the decisive goal. Dynamo Gunt 2, Policia Local 1.

Game 3 of Group B saw Morgans Magaluf taking on We've Got Wood. Both teams were on debut and with no previous history in our tournaments we looked forward to this game with relish to see how the teams would perform on the European stage.

After the early exchanges it was the two teams defensive displays that were taking the plaudits. The teams reached the interval with nothing between them as we had a 0-0 stalemate.

A In the second half we were to see goals – three of them in fact. It was We've Got Wood who outscored their hosts with Justin Hibberd scoring his team's first in @eurofootball5's football and Richard Jones scoring the goal that would earn his team a first goal on foreign soil (or foreign 3G we should say).

A goal from Rob Croll was to be a mere consolation for Morgans Magaluf as they lost out to their visitors on this occasion.
