True IT Legends and AFC FYM kicked off Round 4. The two teams sat in fifth and sixth place respectively at the start of play. With two of the third placed teams qualifying for the Cup, qualification was still possible in theory for True Legends if they could finish the group phase Win-Win. True IT Legends could potentially reach 7 points which had been enough in previous tournaments although not here in Amsterdam it has to be said.

These two teams both had sister squads in the tournament and those sister squads had met in Round 1 of Group C. On that occasion The Hoover Dams had beaten Legendarische IT Werkgever 5-0. Could AFC FYM do an English double over their Dutch opponents?

It looked good at half-time as they lead 2-1. At full-time it looked even better as ran out 7-0 victors. AFC FYM shared the goals around as Robert Wooliams, Dom Morgan and David Netherway each scored a double with Alex Brown also on target.

The next game of Round 4 was Rothmans versus VK Dons. These were the teams in fourth place and third place respectively. Rothmans could leapfrog their opponents in the Group B table with victory. VK Dons could move up to second place with a victory of their own. Should this game finish in a draw then the beneficiaries would be the two teams above them who would consolidate the top two positions.

VK Dons had enjoyed an unbeaten start to the tournament so far today and that was set to continue. They reached the half time break 1-0 up thanks to Jake Brittain's strike. VK Dons had picked up 2 draws in 3 games and they were pegged back here when Tim Werger equalized for Rothmans.

VK Dons hit the front again as Edward Mallett made it 2-1. Will Hick made it 3-1 and then Jake Brittain made it 4-1. Win #2 was secure for VK Dons as they continued their march up the table.

To conclude Round 4 we had Springfield A versus The A Team. This was the big fixture between the two teams at the summit of the table at the start of the round. Springfield A were unbeaten to date with 2 wins and 1 draw. The A Team were 100% with 3 wins out of 3.

The A Team had an impressive group record over the years. It read:

2013 Krakow Trophy: 3-1-1 17-6 10 (2nd)

2014 Budapest Fives: 2-1-2 6-4 7 (3rd)

2014 Mallorca Tournament: 1-2-1 10-6 5 (3rd)

2015 Bratislava Fives: 3-0-0 13-6 9 (1st)

2016 Prague Tournament: 4-0-1 11-3 12 (2nd)

2017 Vilnius Tournament: 2-2-0 5-1 8 (1st)

2018 Gdansk Tournament: 4-1-0 10-1 13 (1st)

Overall: 19-7-5 72-27

After a closely matched first half the teams went into the break with The A Team only holding a slender 1-0 lead. Randy Tchutio scored the goal that meant the French held the advantage.

In the second half Randy Tchutio continued his fine scoring run with two more goals to complete his third consecutive hat-trick and move onto 11 goals for the tournament.

The A Team now had a four point gap at the top of Group B. Springfield A would end Round 4 a position down in third place.
