How
would ZVC's win effect the other teams at the
top? It meant BSP FC had the chance to go level
with Club Atlantico Nationale in second place.
BSP FC started the round in third position despite
overwhelmingly possessing the best goal difference
in the group. They were up against Shaolin Soccer
in the next game on Pitch C.
Shaolin
Soccer were not out of the mix for the Cup qualification
places. If they could win this one they then
had a game to finish against Purnell Youth.
So, if they were to win here it was still conceivable
they could finish on 9 points and have every
chance of qualifying. There was no room for
slip ups now though.
BSP
FC were 4-0 up at half-time in their previous
game and they almost emulated that feat here
– they would have to settle for just the three
goals this time. The game was effectively over
by the break. Although Shaolin Soccer got into
it more in the second half the damage had already
been done. The teams shared two second half
goals as the match ended 4-1. Alexander Richardson
scored his second hat-trick in as many games
for BSP FC with Kyle McLellan edging his tally
on to 6 for the day.
Shaolin
Soccer's hopes of Cup qualification were over.
BSP FC's were very much alive.
