Blue Collar Revolution were back in action against Fleet Street Elite A at the start of Round 3. This was a top versus bottom clash and the form book suggested a home win.

Blue Collar Revoltion had two wins from two with 7 scored and 0 conceded. Fleet Street Elite A had 2 defeats from 2 with 0 scored and 10 conceded. It would be a brave person to bet against the French team securing a third consecutive win.

The game went with form in the opening period as Thierry Plantone aka “Balonovan” and Julien Hatton aka “Hooker” put the French team 2-0 ahead. In the second half Fleet Street Elite A were to score their first goal of the tournament as James Crombie fired home for 2-1. It was the first goal that Blue Collar Revolution had conceded.

The result was the closest game Blue Collar Revolution had been involved in (in terms of the score at least). They had opened up a 6 point lead at the top of Group B.

For Fleet Street Elite A it was another defeat – but, a credible defeat (not that this would be reflected in the league table though).

Mannenliefde and Forn de N'aine both came into Round 3 having won their first games but then losing their second fixture. They were amongst four teams level on three points. A win in this game would be a huge boost against their closest rivals. A win was really essential if they wanted to try and keep pace with Blue Collar Revolution.

It was Forn De N'aina who got off to the better start as Matias De Llano continued his fine personal goal-scoring record. He had now scored in every game as he gave his side a 1-0 lead. 1-0 became 2-0 when Alexis Ferreira also made it a goal per game. The 2-0 lead at half-time put them in pole position for the win.

In the second half Mannenliefde pulled a goal back as Rene Flooren reduced the deficit to 2-1. It was his second strike of the competition. The sands of time ran out on Mannenliefde in their search for an equalizer.

Forn De N'aina took the victory, 2-1.

FC Shark were up next against Valecuatro. Both teams lost their first game, both teams won their second game and in some style. FC Shark had the high score of the day thus far with their 7-0 win whilst Valecuatro won 4-2 over Forn De N'aina who had won both of their other fixtures.

This was each teams' third game and would be pivotal for their future in this tournament. A win would put them in contention for the Cup, a defeat would most likely leave them looking at the Plate. Although relatively early in the day this was a big game.

On the pitch, it was FC Shark who drew first blood (perfectly natural for a shark to draw blood of course). Andy Stockbridge was the man with the goal. The game was then turned on its head as Valecuatro turned on the style. Pascal Moreno Cortes hit the equalizer before Juan Garcia Noguera rounded the goalkeeper and applied a neat finish for 2-1. If you felt the momentum was swinging away from FC Shark it was arrested by Lewis Hubbard who bagged the equalizer for 2-2. That was just the first half!

The second half would not see as many goals but the one goal we saw proved decisive. The goal would win the game and it was Juan Garcia Noguera who scored his second of the game to give Valecuatro a 3-2 win.
