Seagulls
FC and Spider Mans & Eagle was the next
big kick-off in Group Pitch C. Seagulls FC were
without a win and looking for their first goal
of the tournament. They had been tight at the
back conceding just 1 goal so if they could
build on that platform they could well move
up the table. The next game was not an ideal
one for them as they were due to play 2016 Krakow
Trophy runners-up, Spider Mans and Eagle…
..or
as we should be saying Spider Mans & Majestic
Eagle. The Spider Mans marketing department
has no doubt been busy spying some commercial
opportunities with a subtle re-brand.
Spider
Mans & Majestic Eagle had enjoyed a steady
start so far. A 1-1 draw against last year's
runners-up and a 1-0 win over Maverick FC. A
second win here could help them set the pace
at the top of the table. Things were even early
on as the two teams entered half-time level
at 0-0.
In
the second half things opened up thanks to a
brace from Nick McIntosh scoring for the third
game in a row. Steve Wildman added a third to
complete a fine second half performance.
Spider
Mans & Majestic Eagle led the way in Group
C.
