The Rain Dragons and JUBI Titans kicked off Round 4. The Rain Dragons were sitting pretty at the top of Group B on goal difference but it was very tight. If JUBI Titans were to win this game it would mean 4 teams sharing 7 points at the summit (although Tinniedad & Tobacco and Paralytic Athletic were still due to play – each other).

A win for the Rain Dragons would effectively seal their Cup qualification so they had a lot to play for and a lot of incentive. A defeat for JUBI Titans would probably end their hopes (subject to other results) so they had to get something from this game.

The Rain Dragons had kept 3 clean sheets in 3 games so far and it was maybe no surprise to see that their strong defensive record was still intact at half-time in this game. At the other end though they were unable to build on the 5 goals scored and the two teams swapped ends level at 0-0.

We were to get goals in the second half but the two teams were still unable to be separated. Haydn Gush was the man on target for The Rain Dragons with Richard Gregus scoring a vital goal for JUBI Titans. We finished at 1-1 and you felt, given the context of the league table, it was a better point for The Rain Dragons than JUBI Titans.

Next up was Budapest Celtic Whites versus Spider Mans & Mighty Falcon. In Group B there was an emerging top 4 and bottom 2 – this represented a battle for 5th position and a bid to reach the Plate and avoid the Wooden Spoon play-off. A win for either team here would almost certainly secure that goal. If it was to be a draw that would probably favour Budapest Celtic Whites due to their superior goal difference at this stage.

This was Spider Mans 6th eurofootballfives.com tour and for the first time they entered a third squad into the festivities. That third team was the Mighty Falcon following in the foot-steps of the Majestic Eagle and Great Hawk. So far results had meant they had not quite emulated the feats of those two teams but there was still time – a win here was a must though.

If you're a Mighty Falcon fan then look away now. If you're a Budapest Celtic Whites fan you'll probably enjoy reading what comes next. Gleb (so good he only has one name) scored his team's first goal of the tournament. Kirill (equally good to only have one name) then doubled the Whites advantage to make it 2-0 at half-time. Kirill scored his second of the game to seal all 3 points for Budapest Celtic Whites.

Paralytic Athletic and Tinniedad & Tobacco both came into the game looking to seal their place in the Cup. They had the luxury of kicking off a game later than the other teams in Round 4 so could potentially adjust their strategy accordingly. They would have seen The Rain Dragons and JUBI Titans draw 1-1 meaning a win for either team here would guarantee Cup qualification. A draw or defeat would leave some work to do going into the final round of fixtures. Paralytic Athletic had the toughest fixture in the final round so you felt they needed to get something here.

Both Tinniedad & Tobacco and Paralytic Athletic had kept 3 clean sheets in 3 games. They also boasted identical records of 2 wins, 1 draw, 3 goals scored and 7 points. It was perhaps no surprise that these two teams went into half-time level at 0-0. Defences were on top in the second period too and as the sands of time ran out on this fixture we were still level at 0-0 when the whistle blew for full-time.

Only time would tell if this was a point gained or two points dropped. The two teams required just a point to qualify going into the final round of fixtures so you would think they would be happy enough but both still had work to do as the teams occupied joint second position (on goal difference).
