Next
up was Budapest Celtic Whites versus Spider
Mans & Mighty Falcon. In Group B there was
an emerging top 4 and bottom 2 – this represented
a battle for 5th position and a bid to reach
the Plate and avoid the Wooden Spoon play-off.
A win for either team here would almost certainly
secure that goal. If it was to be a draw that
would probably favour Budapest Celtic Whites
due to their superior goal difference at this
stage.
This
was Spider Mans 6th eurofootballfives.com tour
and for the first time they entered a third
squad into the festivities. That third team
was the Mighty Falcon following in the foot-steps
of the Majestic Eagle and Great Hawk. So far
results had meant they had not quite emulated
the feats of those two teams but there was still
time – a win here was a must though.
If
you're a Mighty Falcon fan then look away now.
If you're a Budapest Celtic Whites fan you'll
probably enjoy reading what comes next. Gleb
(so good he only has one name) scored his team's
first goal of the tournament. Kirill (equally
good to only have one name) then doubled the
Whites advantage to make it 2-0 at half-time.
Kirill scored his second of the game to seal
all 3 points for Budapest Celtic Whites.
