The
next game was a clash of the titans as the top
two came face to face. The Mersey White Sox
of England met L'Albiceleste of France with
the winners guaranteed a place in the Cup. A
draw would not be a bad result but leave the
two teams vulnerable.
With
the game underway it was obvious neither team
would settle for a draw and were looking to
win the game. Fateh Bekhouche opened the scoring
for L'Albiceleste with his third goal of the
day and when he scored his fourth of the day
to make it 2-0 they had one foot in the Cup
competition and were in pole position to take
the Group C title.
The
Mersey White Sox were unable to hit back and
it left them in 2nd position looking over their
shoulders at the chasing pack.
