Round 2 started with Exeter Gently versus Csabagyongye. The former had lost their opening fixture and the latter had claimed victory.

Exeter Gently had only suffered a narrow defeat to the French team L'Albiceleste so would need to bounce back to kicstart their campaign. The game started off tight and at half-time there was nothing between them. The English side were looking for their first goal of the tournament and it arrived through Marc Scott.

Csabagyongye had fallen behind in their opening game and recovered to win 3-1 versus ACE & The Swagmen. They would need to come from behind again to take points from this game. They were unable to beat Matt Totman in the Exeter Gently goal and slipped to defeat. It was a great win for the team in yellow who joined three other teams' on three points.

The Mersey White Sox were up next as they took on ACE & The Swagmen. It was a similar scenario as the previous game in that we had one team with an opening game victory playing another with an opening game defeat. Above you saw the team that tasted defeat bounce back with a win. If this was to happen here it would make the group incredibly interesting with 5 teams on 3 points.

The Mersey White Sox would be desperate for this not to happen as they could open up a 3 point lead at the top and put them in command of Group C. Things were looking good for them when Daniel Qureshi gave his side a 1-0 lead by the break. After the interval 1-0 became 2-0 as John Williams doubled the advantage. From 2-0 there was no way back for ACE & The Swagmen and they remained in 6th place.

To complete Round 2 we had Budapest Celtic Pumas versus L'Albiceleste and once again we had a winner against a loser. A win would see L'Albiceleste join the Mersey White Sox at the top of the table whereas the Pumas were hoping to join a host of teams in the middle of the table.

The teams from Hungary and France shared a goal each in the first period when Akos Varga (Pumas) and Fateh Bekhouche (L'Albiceleste) found the net for their teams. There was to be no addition to the score in the second half as neither team could find the winning goal and the teams shared the points.

The draw put L'Albiceleste in 2nd place and Budapest Celtic Pumas were in 5th place after registering their first point of the day.
