With a game each under their belts, the teams had now had a chance to ease themselves into the tournament. BBA Veterans came into Round 2 on the back of a Round 1 win. L'Albiceleste also came into the game with a win under their belts.

L'Albiceleste were our champions here at the 2017 Barcelona Fives. They were unbeaten in the group phase with 5 wins and 2 draws to finish 2 nd . They had a tough route to the Cup Final requiring penalty shoot-out wins over Galacticos and Danish Dynamites before they defeated Naranjitos, 2-1, to claim their third eurofootballfives.com title.

Cedric Castarede scored in Round 1 and he was on target again in Round 2 – this time from the penalty spot. It put L'Albiceleste 1-0 up but the game was not done. The French needed the luxury of a second goal and they got it through Thibault Kerouredan. BBA Veterans played well but L'Albiceleste had that edge in front of goal to win it 2-0.

Game 5 of Group B was to be Rapid B Pavas (Spa) versus Polonia Limerick (Pol). The Spanish team started off with a narrow defeat as did the Polish team from their opening encounter.

Rapid B Pavas have a rich history in this tournament which dates all the way back to 2008 when they made their debut and it was a winning debut. They got off to a flyer with a 3-1 win over Prisoners (Eng) but then lost 2-1 to United (Spa). A 0-0 draw with Bristol Bridge Supporters (Eng) followed but they finished the group on a high with a 2-0 win over Q Detectives (Spa). They qualified for the Cup as one of the best third placed finishers. They got revenge on United (Spa) in the QF with a 3-0 win before beating Yorvik Blades 1-0 in the SF. They were up against (then) reigning Krakow Trophy champions Red Light Runners of Scotland. Rapid Bosco Navas won 2-1 and are still the only team to finish third in their group to go on to lift a eurofootballfives.com title.

Following defeat in Round 1, Rapid B Pavas were getting into their groove here in Round 2. They opened the scoring here through Miguel A Tarrasa Sampedro. Faustino Lopez made it 2 goals in 2 games to put his team 2-0 up. Alberto Rodriguez Silva put the icing on the cake with a third.

It was now 5 goals without reply for Rapid B Pavas as they rolled back the clock to 2008.

The game that would complete Round 2 was Norfolk N Chance against Littleborough FC. These two English teams were both making their debuts in our events today and had their first games under their belts. It was fair to say that both teams had been dealt pretty tough opening fixtures but they had both fared pretty well. Norfolk N Chance defeated the 2008 champions, 3-2. Littleborough FC narrowly lost 1-0 to the 2017 champions.

Norfolk N Chance raced to a 3-0 lead in their first game and they got off to another flying start as they raced to 3-0 again. Joe Sames opened the scoring for the second game in a row and he was also on target for the second. Josh Sullivan joined his team-mate in terms of scoring in every game for the third.

Last time out Norfolk N Chance faced a late rally from Rapid B Navas as they came back to 3-2. Norfolk N Chance saw the game out this time as Ellis Holmes kept his team's first clean sheet. They were top of the table.
