Up
next it was Club Esportiu Llefia (Spa) versus
Toe Punters (Eng).
This
was Club Esportiu Llefia's seventh Barcelona
Fives campaign and their group record so far
read:
2015:
Played 4, Won 2, Drew 2, Lost 0, For 9, Against
7, Points 8 (1st)
2016:
Played 7, Won 4, Drew 1, Lost 2, For 20, Against
6, Points 13 (3rd)
2017:
Played 7, Won 1, Drew 1, Lost 5, For 8, Against
17, Points 4 (8th)
2018:
Played 5, Won 4, Drew 1, Lost 0, For 13, Against
1, Points 13 (1st)
2019:
Played 5, Won 3, Drew 1, Lost 1, For 7, Against
4, Points 10 (2nd)
2021:
Played 4, Won 3, Drew 0, Lost 1, For 15, Against
3, Points 9 (2nd)
It
was a very impressive record even allowing for
the outlier of 2017 in that sequence. Toe Punters,
excuse the pun, went toe to toe with their opponents
here and fought bravely. The Spanish went 1-0
up through Ivan Moreno Gomez but they were pegged
back by Fei McCabe. 1-1 at half-time.
Club
Esportiu Llefia regained the lead in the second
half through Francisco Javier Sanchez Tagus
but they were pegged back again by a header
from Edouard Hallam. Late on, Abel Mesas Cerrato
put Club Esportiu Llefia ahead for a third time
and, on this occasion, there was no way back
for Toe Punters.
A
valiant effort by the English side but, alas,
no cigar.
