The next game was between Argon'ze B and W London. W London were the early pace-setters at the top of Group B at the start of play and a they had a chance to re-assert that position at the top of the table here.

This was the third time that Argon'ze had appeared with two squads at the Barcelona Fives. On the first of those occasions in 2017 the second team (Ze'Argon) team were more successful with 3 wins in the group stage. They finished 5th of 8 teams to qualify for the Trophy knock-out tournament. They began with a 1-0 win over Wonder Vision in the Quarter-Finals. They then drew 1-1 with Leek High Boys in the Semi-Finals but left the tournament after a 2-0 loss on penalties.

Today, Argon'ze B had fought bravely against AFC Blue Boys in Round 1 but ended up with no points for their efforts. They had another tough game here against W London.

The English team put in a dominant performance and raced to a 3-0 lead. Darius Plummer made it 2 goals in as many games before Ali Atobi doubled the lead and Malek Mansour matched Plummer's record. After the break Ali Atobi made it 4-0 to seal a great win.

To complete Round 2 we had TBC FC versus AFC Blue Boys.

AFC Blue Boys most recent appearance with us was at the 2022 Lisbon Tournament. In a high-class tournament and a really tough group they opened up with a narrow 1-0 loss to RAF1 (Por). They then lost 2-1 to Southgate FMU (Eng) before a 1-1 draw against ZVC Gent (Bel). In the final game, they won 3-1 versus Los Swallacticos (NI) who were our champions here in Barcelona in 2013. AFC Blue Boys qualified for the Plate competition and met Blue Collar Revolution (Fra) in the QF. They lost 2-0 to the team who went on to win the Plate.

The Polish had overcome stubborn French resistance in Round 1 and were faced with a TBC FC team that had come close to victory over the current Barcelona Fives champions. AFC Blue Boys hit the front for the second game in a row thanks to Krystian Waledziak and they held the lead until half-time.

TBC FC found themselves in the reverse position they held in Round 1. Then, they were defending a lead. Now, they had to bounce back but it was AFC Blue Boys who scored the next goal in the game. Tomasz Sieradzan extended the lead to 2-0. 2-0 became 3-0 as Oskar Glownia put the result beyond doubt.

For TBC FC there was to be a consolation goal for Matthew Dodd – his second in as many games – although we are sure it was no consolation for the defeat. AFC Blue Boys joined W London at the top of Group B.
