The teams in 2nd and 3rd place met in Game 6 when DHL Prague Red met Kehar Club. For those historians of the eurofootballfives,com game, these teams had met three times previously;

2008 Prague Masters, DHL Prague won 4-3

2008 Prague Trophy, Kehar Club won 3-2

2009 Prague Trophy, DHL Prague Red won 2-0.

Who would win game 4 and advance their chances of Cup qualification? Well, at half-time there was nothing between the two teams as the teams were locked at 0-0. At full-time we did have goals but still nothing to separate the two teams as the teams were still locked level at 1-1 thanks to goals for DHL's Rupert Baltrock and Kehar Club's Martin Drazan. The point was more useful to Kehar Club than DHL Prague Red although the result would do neither team's chances on the day any harm.

Dynamo Fucdarest had been steadily improving despite two defeats and they met a New Camps team fresh from a drubbing by Deportivo. The New Camps looked like they had put that game behind them though as the two teams battled hard to go into the break level at 0-0. The second half was a different story though as Dynamo Fucdarest found their shooting boots. Jagbir Birring's second of the tournament put his side a goal up and when Harminder Kalirai made it 2-0 the destination of the points looked secure. Randeep Bhogal added a late double and Dyanmo Fucdarest had their first victory of the day. The New Camps had one game left to break their points duck.

Game 8 was going to b a crucial game in Group D as table toppers Kehar Club took on 2nd place Deportivo. In the battle of the top two, Deportivo had a game in hand so if they could beat Kehar Club here then they were guaranteed to be Group D winners. As is so often the case with top of the table clashes the game went into the break goal-less. The crucial breakthrough came in the second half when Andres Caballero put Deportivo ahead and provisionally in first place. They consolidated this position when Jorge Barrero made it 2-0. The result guaranteed Deportivo in first place and Cup qualification. Kehar Club would have to wait for the DHL Prague Red result to see if they had done enough to go through with Deportivo to the elite 8 Cup competition.

Kehar Club would not have to wait long for their destiny to be decided as DHL Prague Red were on next against the New Camps. The Czech team would need to win to go level on 7 points with Kehar Club but they would also need to win by at least three to go through on goal difference. As was so often the case in Group D, the first half was devoid of goals. This meant that DHL Prague Red needed to have a cracking second half to edge past Kehar Club. David Janecek gave DHL hope when he put them 1-0 up but it was a task that was ultimately to prove beyond them on this occasion. As time ran out, DHL Prague Red could only manage a 1-1 draw thanks to Craig Bryant's late strike which put a point on the board for the Barcelona-clad English team. This goal sparked wild celebrations as if the New Camps had won the overall tournament. A great moment.

The final game to wrap up the group stages was Dyanmo Fucdarest against Deportivo. Each team knew they would play in the Plate and Cup respectively but this was not a meaningless fixture. A win for Dynamo Fucdarest would jump them into 3rd place in the table and with it, in theory, an easier Quarter Final fixture. Deportivo were looking to keep their 100% record going and send out a message to the other teams with title aspirations.

Deportivo had already scored 14 goals without reply and this continued as Javier Acosta and Andres Caballero put the Latin Americans 2-0 up at half-time. Dynamo Fucdarest then managed to do what no-one else had yet managed and that was score against Deportivo goalkeeper Luis Padilla. Jagbir Birring was the man with that honour but it could not spark a comeback as Leo Echeverria's 6th goal of the tournament ensured a 3-1 victory. Deportivo would go through to the Cup quarter-finals with a 100% record and must be regarded as serious contenders for the 2010 Prague Masters.
