The
final game of Group A was also winner takes all
as Celtic Craic took on the CSF. The winner would
qualify for the Plate, whereas defeat would mean
qualification for the Wooden Spoon play offs.
The CSF, Plate specialists with 4 Plate successes
has the better goal difference so it would be
them to progress should the game end in a draw.
The CSF looked determined to take part in their
beloved Plate as they opened up a 3-1 lead by
half-time as Chris Tuck opened his account before
James Nott scored his second of the day and Soph
Jones also opened his account. Julian Cornelius
kept his personal goal scoring run going but his
Celtic Craic team had to score at least 3 in the
second half to reach the Pate. They got one through
Mick Dillon but, sadly for them, could add no
more. The CSF scored two more themselves through
Miachale Ofori and Chris Tuck's second of the
game. The 5-2 victory secured them fourth place
and their hunt for a fifth Plate success was alive
and well. Celtic Craic would continue their day
in the Wooden Spoon Competition.
