Round 3 started with Brioche FS taking on Policia Local. This was a top of the table clash with both teams having secured maximum points from their first two games. Policia Local were currently leading the way at the top of the table courtesy of their superior goal difference.

These two teams were both regulars in our tournaments but had yet to meet face to face…until now. Policia Local were yet to concede in this tournament but Cheema Molina became the first man to breach their defence to put Brioche FS 1-0 up in the first half. Brioche FS were the top goalscorers in the group and their striking prowess was overpowering the strength of Policia Local's strength in defence. Juan Carlos Ensenyat made it 2-0 by the break.

In the second half Policia Local hit back but Brioche FS always had enough to remain in front. Xisco Ruiz Vives and Roberto Mir Crispi scored for Policia Local but Pau Bujosa and a second for Cheema Molina ensured it was a 4-2 win for Brioche FS.

Next up was We've Got Wood against St Paul's College Old Boys 3rd Team. We've Got Wood had made a pretty good start today and although their record was a win and a defeat that loss was a narrow 3-2 defeat to the team at the top who had a 100% record. They played a St Paul's College Old Boys 3rd Team who had lost both games conceding 8 in the process. We've Got Wood would start as favourites.

They certainly lived up to their favourites billing as they raced ahead in the opening period. They lead 4-1 at half-time and then 7-1 at full-time.

Ross Lawson lead the way with the opening goal before a Nathin Smith double put them in charge. After that it was Terry King's second of the tournament followed by Ross Lawson's second of the game. Richard Jones then got in on that act before Mark Hall opened his personal account for the day.

It was a great result for We've Got Wood who moved up to 6 points and a share of second place in the table. St Paul's College Old Boys 3rd Team were languishing in 5th position.

The next action on the pitch in Group D was Charlie Let Us Down Again versus Old Sedcopians Legends. Charlie Let Us Down Again came into the game on the back of a fine 6-0 victory. Old Sedcopians Legends were looking for their first goals and points of the day but now had their fixtures with the two Spanish teams at the top out of the way. So, now they could reset their challenge and look to get on the winning trail.

Old Sedcopians Legends set about their task well and with real zeal and relish. In the first half they displayed some fine football and established a 3-0 lead at the break. Dom Elisak broke the team's duck before Barrie Schooling and then Elisak again rounded off a perfect first half.

For Charlie Let Us Down Again it was a big reversal of fortune after their 6-0 win last time out. This was to be the proverbial game of two halves as they came roaring back in the second half. Max Cooke gave them a foothold in the game before Ed Hill-Smith scored a goal that raised belief. Max Cooke went on to complete a hat-trick and Ed Hill-Smith notched again and scored what proved to be the winning goal in a 5-4 thriller.

For the record, Rob Brooke scored Old Sedcopians Legends fourth of the game but it was to be a mere consolation. It must have been a real sickener for Old Sedcopian Legends who came so close to that cherished first victory. Charlie Let Us Down Again made it a three team tie in second place on 6 points.
