Going into the final round of games it was do or die now for teams of Group B. First up was St Paul's College Old Boys 1st Team versus Peluqueria Mariano.

Peluqueria Mariano came into the game needing just a point to clinch the Group B title. They brought a 100% record into the game and if they could win this game would equal their record of 2015 when they won all 5 group games in Group C. You wouldn't bet against them.

St Paul's College Old Boys 1st Team currently occupied fourth position in the table. A win would secure a place in the Plate for them. A draw would be enough should Little Wille's lost their final fixture. A defeat would see them slip into the Trophy competition.

Peluqeria Mariano started off well in their quest for a 10th successive group win. They found themselves 3-0 up by half-time. Carlos Danan scored his 6th and 7th of the tournament and in between there was a 3rd goal of the day for Miguel Angel Alos.

St Paul's College Old Boys 1st Team got a goal back after the break to make it 3-1 but Peluqueria Mariano had enough in the tank to win the game and Group B – well done to them.

So, just two more fixtures to go in Group B and the penultimate fixture was Little Wille's against Lads On Toure. Lads On Toure needed just a draw (or better) to secure third place in Group B and Plate qualification. A defeat would still mean Plate qualification but in 4th place – in theory, this would mean a more difficult Quarter-Final draw.

Given St Paul's College Old Boys 1st Team defeat above it opened the door for Little Wille's to join Lads on Toure in the Plate. Little Wille's needed a draw to finish fourth and a win to finish third. Should Little Wille's suffer defeat they would finish in 5 th place and behind St Paul's College Old Boys 1st Team on goal difference. A place in the Trophy would then await.

There was little between the two teams in the opening period but they would be divided by the odd goal. The goal went to Little Wille's and they were in pole position. Little Wille's moved through the gears and stepped it up in the second half. 1-0 became 5-0 and Little Wille's pulled off a superb win. It meant they finished third in the table.

To complete the records for Group B we added Mallorca Look 3-0 Old Sedcopians into the equation.

Group B then heard that Little Wille's, despite a fine 3rd placed finish given the strength of the local challenge, would not take their place in the Plate draw as they would be withdrawing from the tournament due to injury/fatigue. It meant all the other teams would move up one place and so St Paul's College Old Boys 1st Team would have a reprieve and join Lads on Toure in the Plate draw.
