We
went into Game 8 of Group C with Old Sedcopians
Academy due to meet Los Lechones.
Both
of these teams had received a 3-0 walkover win
off the field and suffered a defeat on the field.
This was their opportunity to earn a victory
on the field of play and launch their challenge
to potentially qualify for the Cup. Los Lechones
had yet to score in this tournament but they
put that right when Alex Lumsden found the back
of the net for his team. The goal gave Los Lechones
a 1-0 lead going into the break.
Old
Sedcopians Academy were also looking for their
first goal of the tournament and they also broke
their duck. Ashley Hards was the man to open
the account for Old Sedcopians Academy and restore
parity to proceedings.
In
the final stages, neither team could find a
winner and so we finished with honours even.
It meant the two teams occupied the mid-table
positions with two games each to go in Group
C.
