Group B began with St Paul's College Old Boys 1st Team versus Lads on Toure. The latter were on debut so we would get our first glimpse of them in action shortly.

The former were familiar faces in our tournaments. They made their debut at the 2013 Lisbon Veterans Tournament finishing 3rd in the 6 team group to progress to the knock-out phase. They were knocked out in the Semi-Finals by Funsport B of Portugal. They followed this up with a visit to the 2014 Amsterdam Fives and in a very close Group C they were one of three teams to finish level on 9 points but goal difference meant they would finish in fourth position and progress to the Plate.

Two wins later (5-3 over AAK S&S, 2-1 over Vodafone Netherlands) saw them reach a first eurofootballfives.com final. A roller-coaster final and a 6 goal thriller saw the game end 3-3 and it was on penalties that St Paul's College Old Boys triumphed.

Fast forward to the 2015 Bratislava Fives and it was Plate qualification again. They showed their prowess at spot-kicks again in the Semi-Final defeating The Dave Cole Minors 3-2 on pens after a 3-3 draw. They were in a second successive Plate Final and ensured double success when they triumphed 4-1 over Team Bear II to lift the trophy in the presentation.

It was Lads on Toure who got off to the faster start of the two teams as Chris Barry opened his personal account and his team's account in eurofootballfives.com action. Lads on Toure then forced an own goal to double the lead before St Paul's College OB 1 st Team pulled one back for 2-1. It was too little too late and Lads on Toure had a debut win under their belts.

Match 2 was due to be Peluqueria Mariano versus Old Sedcopians. Old Sedcopians were due to have 3 teams in today's tournament but due to some casualties from a Friday night out in Mallorca they were reduced to 2 teams. The Old Sedcopians team was retired and they would continue with Old Sedcopians Academy and Old Sedcopians Legends.

In Group B, Peluqueria Mariano would claim a 3-0 walkover victory.

The last two teams due to take to the field were Little Wille's and Mallorca Look. The Little Wille's team comprised two members of the all-conquering Olympic Phil Babb team who won four successive tournaments from 2008 to 2011 as they triumphed at the Amsterdam Fives, Prague Masters, Algarve Open and Budapest Fives. Olympic Phil Babb still hold the eurofootballfives.com record of 4 tournament wins.

Joe Wille and Alex Woolston survived from that team and were on tour to celebrate Joe Wille's stag weekend. We wished them luck – especially Joe who would no doubt be feeling the effects of last night.

They came up against a strong Mallorca Look side who completed a 6-2 victory. It was 3-1 in each half as the Spanish team made a formidable start to the tournament. Miguel Lopez lead the way with four goals with Gerardo Gallon and Diego Torres also chipping in.

The two goals for Little Wille's would prove to be mere consolations but both were credited to the stag, Joe Wille.
