The second final of the day would see Hellgarve Kraken's versus Sporting Armada. With eight games of football already under their belt the two teams would need to summon one last burst of energy to ensure they would be picking up winners and not runners-up medals in the presentation.

Let's have a look at the two teams' credentials for the Plate title:

Hellgarve Kraken's (Por)

Won the 2015 Algarve Open (as Futeboladas)

Record today: Played 8, Won 5, Drawn 2, Lost 1.

Goal difference today: 17-4

Current unbeaten run: 7 games.

Today's top goalscorer: Tiago Nogueira (5)

Clean sheets: 4

Sporting Armada (Eng)

On debut.

Record today: Played 8, Won 4, Drawn 2, Lost 2.

Goal difference today: 16-7

Current unbeaten run: 3 games.

Today's top goalscorer: Harry Tampsett (7)

Clean sheets: 3

If we are looking as a guide to form the two teams met earlier in the group phase. It was a narrow 1-0 win to Hellgarve Kraken's. Hellgarve Kraken's also saw off the Athletico Armada side in the Plate Semi-Final. A hat-trick of wins against Armada would see them Plate champions.

The stage was set, let's get the action underway. It was first blood to Sporting Armada as Harry Tampsett applied a tidy finish for his eighth goal of the tournament. It was the first time Armada had been ahead in a game against the men from the Algarve. Could they keep their noses in front?

Hugo Dias had not scored in the group phase but he had scored in the Quarter-Finals and grabbed both goals in the Semi-Finals. He was proving his worth at the knock-out phase of the tournament as a fourth goal in three games levelled it up at 1-1.

The next goal was always going to be crucial and it went to Hellgarve Kraken's. Tiago Nogueira scored his sixth goal of the tournament to complete the turnaround. Momentum was certainly with the Portuguese but the English team were definitely not out of it. Tiago Nogueira then killed the game off as he pounced on an under-hit back pass to make it 3-1. Hopes of a comeback were extinguished and Hellgarve Kraken's saw out the game to take the Plate win.

Hellgarve Kraken's become the 11th team in eurofootballfives.com tournaments to win both a Cup and a Plate title.

First of all we offer our consolations to Sporting Armada on a fine campaign – they could not have got much closer to the Plate winners' trophy. It was a great debut and a pleasure to host all of the Sporting & Athletico Armada lads.

Huge congratulations go to our 2019 Lisbon Tournament Plate champions though – Hellgarve Kraken's.
