Pangare Futebol Clube became the first team representing Brazil to claim a eurofootballfives.com title when they were victorious at the 2017 Lisbon Tournament. They made a superb start winning their first 4 games and scoring 15 goals. They then found themselves suffering a 3-0 defeat to Cruz Del Sur A. This proved to be a mere blip as two more wins meant they claimed the Group B title.

They continued their form in the knock-out phase with a 2-0 win over Leave It FC in the Quarter-Finals, a 4-1 win over Indoorsoccer in the Semi-Finals and then a 2-1 win over Wonderleague in the Cup Final.

So far today they had been held to a 1-1 draw versus Sporting Armada. Black Dog's Bald Club had also played Sporting Armada and narrowly lost 1-0. The English team were looking for their first points of the day but they ran into a Pangare Futebol Clube team who had moved through the gears.

Gustavo Pereira set them on their way with their first goal of the game. Igor Silva made it 2-0 before a double from Jaden Pereira. Gustavo Pereira scored his second of the game before a double from Wendell Santos. Lewiny Cabral completed the scoring in what was to be the second biggest win of the day, 8-0 to the Brazilians.

 
 
 

Game 8 of Group A was Spider Mans Ones versus Missing Magpies. These two sides met at the 2017 Budapest Fives and would play each other in their final game of the group. Ryan Stevens and Nick McIntosh scored the goals in a 2-0 win for Spider Mans. It was a result that saw both teams qualify for the Cup with identical records of 3 wins and 1 draw and Spider Mans edged it on goal difference (7-2) compared with (7-3).

Today, the teams sat in 1st and 5th position respectively at kick-off although Missing Magpies did have a game in hand.

It was Spider Mans who struck first – Ryan Stevens grabbing a goal as he did in Budapest 2017. There was to be no repeat of the 2-0 score though as Missing Magpies were back on level teams thanks to a goal from Henry Pescod.

The 1-1 draw meant the teams would end Round 3 where they started – in 1st and 5th positions.

 
 
 

To complete Round 3 was Sporting Armada versus Indoorsoccer Café O Trem. Both teams needed the points but for different reasons. Sporting Armada needed a win to join Spider Mans Ones at the summit of Group A. Indoorsoccer Café O Trem had just tasted defeat for the first time so needed to get back to winning ways. If they could, they would go to 2nd place in the table.

Last year, Indoorsoccer's second team won 3 and drew 1 of their 5 group games to finish third in Group D. They qualified for the Plate but also went out in the Quarters, 3-1 to BSP FC. Today they would no doubt have their eyes set on the Cup competition and they produced their best performance of the day here.

Nelson Pinto opened the scoring in this contest with his second goal of the tournament. At 1-0 the game was still in the balance but when Jorge Costa made it 2-0 it was going to be very tough for the English team to salvage something from the game.

As Sporting Armada chased the game, Indoorsoccer Café O Trem added a third. Jorge Costa scored his second of the match to round off a fine 3-0 win.
