Two rounds to go and 6 games of football left on the schedule to decide the teams' fates in Group B. Spider Mans Twos would take to the field for their final fixture against an Athletico Armada team who had a game in hand.

The two teams were locked together in the table on 6 points with 2 wins each. They had identical goal differences but Spider Mans Two lead the way on goals scored. The best Spider Mans Twos could realistically hope for was 4 th place in the table and a preferable draw in the Plate compared to finishing 5th/6th.

Athletico Armada could still qualify for the Cup – they needed to win both their last games, improve their goal difference and hope other results went their way. They started off in determined fashion. Will Wood in particular had his shooting boots on scoring the opening goals of the game to make it 2-0. Tom Vivian made it 3-0 and a double from James Young ensured the 3 points were indisputably going to Athletico Armada. Tom Vivian scored his third of the day to make it 6-0.

Danny Foy had the final say as his second of the game made the final score 6-1. Athletico Armada would go into the final round of games on a high.

 
 
 

Lads of Lisboa had just picked up their first point of the day. Could they take this new found momentum into their match against PMPCAR. The Cup was beyond them but they could seek out as higher place finish as they could. 4 th was still mathematically possible.

PMPCAR were strong favourites for this game though. They had a 100% record with 4 wins out of 4, 12 goals scored and just 1 conceded. They could confirm their place in the Cup with victory here.

PMPCAR showed how hungry they were by putting Lads of Lisboa to the sword and recorded the biggest win of the tournament. Tiago Sousa started the scoring and went on to register a hat-trick. There was also a hat-trick for Pedro Domingos who scored 4 in total for the game and moved on to 7 for the day. Diogo Santos and Mario Pimpao were also on target.

The win, and goal difference, made the Group B title virtually theirs.

 
 
 

That left us with Spider Mans 5hitters v Indoorsoccer to complete Round 6. We added the 3-0 win to the table and the standings looked like the table below.
