Spider
Mans 5hitters were next up on Pitch 2 as they
took on Hampstead Heath Cruisers. The 5hitters
had 2 wins from 2 and if they could maintain
that 100% record would go level with their opponents
at the top of the table.
Hampstead
Heath Cruisers just needed to avoid defeat to
retain their first placed position but a win
would give them a more than healthy lead at
the top. They had just seen off Spider Mans
Twos (5-2) but the league table suggested the
5hitters may be a tougher proposition.
Tit
was the 5hitters who did indeed take the lead.
Alistair Stewart's third goal of the day putting
his team 1-0 up. Hampstead Heath Cruisers had
now conceded the first goal in each of their
games but had come back to win. Their job was
twice as hard this time as Alistair Stewart
doubled the 5hitters lead. Charlie Hill then
reduced the deficit to 2-1 but Hampstead Heath
Cruisers were unable to go on a goal-scoring
spree and take the victory. Seb Dunnett snuffed
out the comeback to make it 3-1 which is how
it finished.
