So, onto Round 5 we go and still plenty to play for in Group A. Black Dog's Bald Club had sat out Round 4 and had time to rest weary legs, get some air back in the lungs and sweat out some of last night's hangover! They had been competitive in their first two games but suffered a big defeat last time out. Maybe the break came at the right time for them. The bad news? They were up against the current table toppers, Indoorsoccer Café O Trem.

Indoorsoccer Café O Trem had won 3 out of 4 games to date. A fourth win of the day would ensure they finished the round on top and be just 1 point from Cup qualification. Fabio Oliveira scored the winner in his team's previous game and he opened the scoring in this one. Jorge Costa and Nelson Pinto each had two goals so far today and they took their tally to 3 each before Fabio Oliveira made it 4-0.

Black Dog's Bald Club had something to cheer when they reduced the arrears to 4-1 (through Matthew Conroy) but it wasn't long before Indoorsoccer Café O Trem put the icing on the cake. Jorge Costa and Fabio Oliveira both scored to make the final score, 6-1.

 
 
 

Hellgarve Kraken's were making their second eurofootballfives.com appearance outside of their home Algarve tournament. In October 2018 they travelled to the Barcelona Fives. They played superbly in the group phase winning 4 out of 5 group games. Their one defeat came against an excellent Greek team who eventually won the title. In the knock-out phase Los Portugalitos went out 2-0 to LT United (Ltu) in the Quarter-Finals.

Today they were slowly getting into their groove. From opening game defeat they then drew and then won their third game. Sporting Armada's form had seen them win-draw-lose-draw. A win for either of these teams would see them move up to second in the table.

It was a close game that for the most-part looked like ending 0-0. Andre Mateus was the man with the goal – his second of the day and it meant second in the table belonged to Hellgarve Kraken's…..for now at least.

 
 
 

The 15th game of Group A was Missing Magpies versus Pangare Futebol Clube. Pangare Futebol Clube were looking to claim second place above Hellgarve Kraken's and could do so with a win (due to their superior goal difference). Missing Magpies had been consistent so far. Their results read 1-1, 1-1, 1-1.

Pangare Futebol Clube were one of a select group of teams who had won a Cup (2017 Lisbon Tournament) and a Plate (2018 Lisbon Tournament) in our events. Today could go either way for them – they really needed to win to have any hopes of making the Cup. The same was arguably true for Missing Magpies to qualify for the Cup for a 4 th occasion in 5 appearances.

It was Pangare who took the lead through Igor Silva who bagged his second goal of the day. At this stage maybe Missing Magpies would have taken a fourth 1-1 draw but the pattern was to be broken though. Gustavo Pereira doubled the lead before Lewiny Cabral put the game to bed at 3-0.

It was the perfect result for Pangare Futebol Clube as they moved up into the second Cup qualification position. Missing Magpies were down in sixth position.
