It was crunch time in Group A particularly for Sporting Armada who were about to start their final game. Round 6 started with Sporting Armada hosting Spider Mans Ones. Sporting Armada could move up to second place with a win although with a host of teams on 7 points (and 5 further games in Group A) it would probably not be enough to secure a place in the Cup. All they could do was put three points on the board and see where it took them.

Spider Mans Ones were one of those teams on 7 points. They were currently in fourth place on goal difference. Having taken 7 points from the first 9 they suffered a heavy defeat in their last game. They were looking to bounce back with victory but this game went away from them too.

Sporting Armada had taken 1 point from the last 9 on offer but they rediscovered their winning touch here. Ben Renshaw's third of the day set them on their way and they never looked back. Renshaw added another to make it 2-0 and the goals flowed. There was a hat-trick for Harry Tampsett before Steve Pointing completed the rout. Final score, 6-0.

Missing Magpies had performed pretty well in the group phase of our tournaments despite attracting tough groups more often then not. On debut in Amsterdam 2012 they finished second and were only beaten by 3-times eurofootballfives.com winners Athletico Do Hollande (Hol). At the 2014 Barcelona Fives they finished third behind the 2013 champions Los Swallacticos (NI) and soon to be 2014 champions Monexy (Ukr). At the 2015 Berlin Fives and 2017 Budapest Fives they finished 3 rd of 6 teams on each occasion.

This group in Lisbon was arguably the toughest yet. They had only lost 1 of 4 games but found themselves in 6 th place. Their next fixture was up against Black Dog's Bald Club FC.

Black Dog's Bald Club FC had performed well in their first two games but struggled in the last two. They continued to struggle here as Missing Magpies doubled their points tally for the day. Andrew Robertson, Luke Bird and then Andrew Robertson (x2) rounded off a fine win.

Despite the 4-0 win Missing Magpies remained in sixth position but they were in striking distance of the teams above them.

Game 18 of Group B was between the two teams in the tournament that had previously won a eurofootballfives.com tournament. It was Pangare Futebol Clube versus Hellgarve Kraken's.

The two teams had identical records so far today. Won 2, drawn 1 and lost 1. They were the two teams best placed to take the second Cup qualification place behind Indoorsoccer Café O Trem. Pangare Futebol Clube held the advantage as they had a superior goal difference (12-2) compared to Hellgarve Kraken's (6-2). A win for either team would make them hot favourites for the Cup. A draw would keep things very tight but arguably suit the Brazilians more due to that goal difference. Hellgarve Kraken's needed the win more.

The two teams threw everything at each other but the game went from first whistle to final whistle without troubling the scorers. It was the first 0-0 draw of the day – both teams seemed reasonably happy with the point going into the final round of fixtures.
