Group C was really hotting up as we entered Round 4. Only 3 points separated the top 4 and when JNJ Wuppertal A met Belgium Fun Team a victory would see the German team open up a 3 point lead at the top of the table. The Belgium Fun Team were looking for their first goals and points – a win for them would see them off the bottom of the table.

This game was all over in the first half as JNJ Wuppertal were already 5-0 up and a further three goals in the second period meant JNJ Wuppertal had equaled the biggest win of the day, 8-0. The goals were shared around with six different goalscorers. There was a double for Cristovao Mendes Fernandes and Stefan Pohl plus one goal each for Michael Kakaris, Marius Gruner, Oliver Droscher and Jens Zollner.

JNJ Wuppertal A were top of the table on 10 points and had one foot in the Cup competition. For JNJ Belgium Fun Team the search for points and goals went on.

JNJ Russia B suffered a setback in their previous game and with JNJ Wuppertal A winning above they were now 6 points off the lead. Their next opponents were GBS Reds A and the Russians needed to get back to winning ways. GBS Reds A were in exactly the same position on 4 points so needed a win themselves to pursue their Cup dreams. A draw would see both lose ground and a defeat would almost certainly see the Cup hopes over.

With two games left (including this one) the pressure was now on and it looked like GBS Reds A were handling the pressure the better when they took a first half lead through Josef Salatek. JNJ Russia B were now staring at the possibility of two defeats in a row but Maxim Zilberman's third goal of the day rescued them to make it 1-1 and earn a vital 1-1 draw.

The draw meant the teams were now 5 points off the lead of Group C but a win in their next encounter could easily see them qualify as one of the best 3rd placed teams. There was still a lot of work to do though.

Slavoj Consumer and JNJ High Wycombe Wanderers met in the final game of Round 4 with both desperate for the points. JNJ High Wycombe Warriors could book their place in the Cup competition with a win and maintain the chance of winning the Group C title. Slavoj Consumer could really tighten up this group with a win by also moving on to 5 points and have a chance of reaching the Cup themselves.

Draws so far had stunted Slavoj Consumer's progress and they were proving a tough team to beat. By half-time, they were level again at 0-0. A third draw in four games would end their Cup chances. However, they would have preferred a draw to a defeat but a defeat is what they suffered as Delroy Howell scored the only goal of the game for JNJ High Wycombe Wanderers.

It was a crucial win for the English team as they were now part of a 2-horse race for the Group C title. It was a crushing blow for Slavoj Consumer who only had two points to show for their exploits – it shows just how tough a group Group C was proving to be.
