JNJ Wuppertal B were next in action when they would play Team Baltic. JNJ Wuppertal came into the game high on confidence having just secured a great victory. Team Baltic were still searching for their first points but improving.

JNJ Wuppertal B had reached half-time 0-0 twice in three games and that would be three times in four games as neither team could find a breakthrough in the opening period. As the game went on the deadlock remained and with time running out a 0-0 draw looked a certainty….we were wrong though.

In a cruel turn of fate, Team Baltic were denied their first points in the very last minute when Erkan Demirel struck a killer blow. We are sure the German team would not care at all….it meant they now had two wins in a row and joined the teams at the top on 7 points. It must be conceded that GBS Reds C and Belgium A Team both had an extra game to play but JNJ Wuppertal B were in the mix.

The best news for JNJ Wuppertal B was that GBS Reds C and Belgium A Team were due to play each other next so at least one would drop points and a draw would mean they were only a point behind them. Things were getting interesting.

Both GBS Reds C and Belgium A Team were so far undefeated and that looked like continuing as we were all square 0-0 at half-time. In the second half there was to be a winning goal and it was Kris Wauters second goal in as many games. His goals were proving vital – it earned a draw in Round 3 and earned a victory in Round 4. His goals were worth four points to JNJ Belgium A team and the 1-0 win put them on top of the Group B table with 10 points.

It was a first defeat for GBS Reds C but all was not lost for them as they were in 2nd place and their fate was in their own hands going into the final round of fixtures.

The final game of Round 4 was another key game as JNJ Serbia met JNJ Medical. Before the Round started the teams were in 3rd and 5th position respectively. They now sat in 4th and 5th position and, given the results above, were falling behind those above them. To keep pace on the remaining teams a win was essential here. A draw would not really suit either team.

It was JNJ Serbia who took the lead when Marko Matanovic struck in the first half. JNJ Medical would not be beaten easily though and they made it 1-1 in the second half thanks to Graeme Stewart's second of the day. The game looked it might be heading for a draw but Matanovic made it 2-1 and secured all three points for the Serbian team.

It was a great result for JNJ Serbia as they were now one of three teams on 7 points in second place making it an intriguing final round of fixtures to come. The defeat was a damaging one for JNJ Medical though as it meant 5th was the best they could manage and their fate almost certainly lied in the Plate competition.
