JNJ
Pinewood had just earned their first victory
and if they could take this momentum on and
put a string of results together Cup qualification
was in reach but they needed victories. They
met GTSC who were looking to earn their first
points of the day and any points would be welcome
to help them reach the Plate.
It
was first blood to JNJ Pinewood and the English
team was looking good to continue their upturn
in form. Matt Walker's second goal in as many
games put them 1-0 up and at half-time they
were on course for earning their second win
in a row.
GTSC
had other ideas though and in the second half
they equalized through Dimitri Turelinckx. There
was to be no further addition to the score and
the game finished 1-1. GTSC were in 5th position
on their own and looked like they would be playing
in the Plate although GBS Reds B could still
change this.
The
Belgian equalizer was a hammer blow for JNJ
Pinewood as it slowed their recovery and made
Cup qualification very difficult now. They remained
in 4th position.
