Round 2 started with Missing Magpies entertaining 9 Nana Budds. Both teams came through Round 1 undefeated against local opposition as Missing Magpies claimed 3 points with a win over SV Zoo and 9 Nana Budds a draw with Titanium Hollyrollers.

9 Nana Budds had come into this game with a very good group phase record in our tournaments – including the earlier result in Round 1 they had played 13 games, won 6, drawn 5 and lost just 2. They had scored 22 goals along the way with 10 conceded. It was looking very good at half-time for them to extend that record as Will Crowther fired them into a 1-0 lead.

In the second half the Missing Magpies staged a remarkable comeback and Pete Bell put them back on level terms. With the momentum behind them Missing Magpies wrestled the ascendency from their opponents and forged ahead through a Henry Pescod goal. The goal proved to be the winning strike and Missing Magpies had collected their second win as many games to lead the way in Group C.

The early morning drizzle had subsided and the sun was out and shining on Pitch A as Pink Flamingos B took to the field for their second match against Titanium Hollyrollers. As with the previous game in Round 2 this was a match between a first round winner and a team who had drawn their opening game.

Pink Flamingos kept up their fine club record in the tournament by going ahead again through Mike Williamson – his second in as many games. At this stage in the two games for the A team and 1.5 games for the B team they had scored 11 without reply. That was to change in the second half though as Niels De Groot became the first man to score against the team in pink today.

The goal would not be good enough to earn the Titanium Hollyrollers the points though as a Ben Northrop strike ultimately proved to be the decisive goal. Final score, 2-1.

The result meant Pink Flamingos B joined Missing Magpies at the top of Group C and lead the way courtesy of a superior goal difference.

To complete Round 2 we had DHFC versus SV Zoo. Both teams had slipped to defeat in the opening fixture and would need to bounce back as quickly as possible to ignite their 2015 Berlin Fives challenge.

SV Zoo was playing in their third eurofootballfives.com tournament on home soil. They have also competed oversea at the 2012 Krakow Trophy, 2013 Plate Champion of Champions in Budapest, 2014 Barcelona Fives and already this season at the 2015 Bratislava Fives. In Krakow they were successful on debut winning the Plate competition. In May 2013 they finished 4th in the Plate Champion of Champions tournament in Budapest. They finished Runners-Up in the Trophy competition of the 2014 Barcelona Fives and in Bratislava this year they qualified for the Cup for the first time – exiting 6-0 to a very good A Team of France.

Looking just at Berlin, in 2013 they finished 3rd in their 5-team group progressing to the Plate. They secured a resounding 5-0 win in the Quarter-Finals before eventual Plate winners, Team Geek, arrested their progress at the Semi-Final stage. In 2014 it was a repeat of finishing 3 rd in their 5-team group progressing to the Plate. They drew 1-1 with All Ronan's Men in the Quarter-Finals before losing 3-2 on penalties.

The German team lead 1-0 at half-time in this one and it was DHFC who helped them on their way with an own goal. DHFC rescued the situation though with a captain's goal from Tom Holder and the game finished 1-1 each.
