We began Round 4 with Coverton Road versus Coole Wampe. Since opening game defeat Coverton Road had grown into the tournament and although they had only taken 1 point from a possible 6 this could easily have been 4 from 6 as they took a lead into the second half against FC Auslander and were 1-1 going into the second half against Tommie's Guns before goals in those second periods caused their undoing.

Coole Wampe had looked in imperious form in Rounds 1 and 2 but a heavy defeat in Round 3 would have been hard to take and no doubt knocked their confidence. They would surely want to put that result behind them and behind them fast. That certainly looked the case as they raced into a 3-0 lead. Konstantin Kausch was the man to break the deadlock to keep his impressive goal per game record going. He then added another to score his first double of the day and added a third for good measure to complete his hat-trick.

The second half was much more even with defences largely on top save for a Luke Hatfield goal – it was his second of the tournament. The man who was the 2011 Valencia Fives top goalscorer for Skidmarks with 13 goals was adding some firepower to the Coverton Road ranks.

The game finished 3-1 and Coole Wampe had bounced back well from defeat. They joined Pink Flamingos A on 9 points at the top but Pink Flamingos A had a game in hand.

That game in hand for Pink Flamingos A was the next game on Pitch A as they took on FC Auslander. Pink Flamingos A could open up a 3 point lead at the top of the table with victory and based on their previous result would be hot favourites to do so.

FC Auslander had just tasted their first defeat in Round 3 and, as Coole Wampe had done, would hope to emulate Coole Wampe by bouncing back with victory straight away. This was going to be a tough ask against a formidable Pink Flamingos A side. However, it was a task that FC Auslander took to admirably and they gave as good as they got for much of the first half. That said, they were unable to prevent Pink Flamingos A taking a lead into half-time as Karl Gumbrell fired in his sixth goal of the day to give his team a 1-0 advantage.

After the break Pink Flamingos A added to their goal tally firstly through Lewis Westlake and then through Karl Gumbrell's 7 th of the tournament – an early contender for the top goalscorer award. Pink Flamingos A did not have it all their own way though as Christoph Darbouze scored his third in four games as the game finished 3-1.

Pink Flamingos A were back at the top of Group A.

The only thing left to settle in Round 4 was the not-so-small matter of Hangover 96 versus Tommie's Guns. Both these teams would come into the game with renewed confidence. They had followed similar trajectories of results losing their first two games but then winning in their previous game. If either of these teams could make it two wins out of two they would move on to 6 points, third place and have a great shout at making the Cup. A draw would see them in a 3-way tie for third place with FC Auslander but Cup qualification would be that bit tougher.

It was a good even contest and opening period. It was Tommie's Guns that edged ahead though with a goal from Chris Vernall – his first of the day. The first goal in these tournaments is often vital as it gives the team that scores it that ability to sit on the lead, attack with due diligence or choose to counter when their opponents are vulnerable. The flip side of the coin is that the team who fall behind often have to chase the game and run the risk of leaving gaps at the back. In this way the result can quickly run away from you.

In the second half here Chris Vernall didn't take long to double his tally when he made it 2-0 to Tommie's Guns. It was a family affair as Pat Vernall added a third goal and ensured Tommie's Guns would take all 3 points. It was the first time Tommie's Guns had back-to-back victories in eurofootballfives competition and they surged to 3rd in the table.
