Pinkneys
Green FC had so far suffered two defeats so
when they walked on to the pitch in Round 3
the last team they probably wanted to play was
the defending champions, Ecuador 100%. From
an Ecuadorian perspective, the title defence
had started off well with two wins from two.
A third win here would see them move two points
clear at the top of Group C.
The
formbook suggested an away win but Pinkneys
Green battled hard and were very much in the
game during the first half. There was only the
one goal to separate the two teams and that
goal came from Felipe for Ecuador 100%.
In
these games the second goal can often be the
killer. Whilst such a deficit has been overturned
before it is often a psychological blow that
can be difficult to recover from. Jose put Ecuador
100% 2-0 up in the second half and they never
looked back. Luis made it 3-0 before Jose added
a fourth.
Ecuador
100% were seemingly made for top spot and they
took their place at the top of the tree.
