Sao Marcos were the early group leaders on goal difference and they were looking for win number two when they met Intermore FC. Intermore had started slowly but put in a great comeback in the opening game that just fell short. Could they grab some points here?

 

It was looking unlikely as Sao Marcos were getting into full stride and in particular their front men were looking dangerous. Helder Adega added to his first game strike to put Sao Marcos 2-0 up before Marcolino David also scored for the second game in a row. Intermore FC were down at the break again but any hopes of a comeback were quickly snuffed out when two more Helder Adega goals either side of a Joaquim Rijo strike ensured there was only one destination for the points.

 

The final score was 6-0 and Sao Marcos were looking a threat in this tournament.

 
 
 

Valejas A.C battled hard in their first game only to end up pointless after a 1-0 defeat. Their opponents in the next game would be St Paul's College Old Boys who could join Sao Marcos at the top with a second successive win.

 

It was Valejas A.C who struck first as Rui Fale scored his team's first goal of the tournament. It was a 1-0 lead they were to keep until the second half when a Lewis Howard goal pegged the Portuguese back and St Paul's College Old Boys were level at 1-1.

 

The final score was 1-1 and only time would tell if this was a point gained or two points dropped for either side.

 
 
 

We finished off Round 2 with Funsport B versus Dickie Dogs – the former were looing for two wins out of two. The latter were looking to register their first points of the day.

 

All the goals game in the opening period and it was Chico of Funsports B that gave his team the advantage. Dickie Dogs were not behind for too long as Mark Bee equalized.

 

Funsports B had managed to win a tight encounter 1-0 in their first game and they were to edge this one too as Hugo Condiego bagged another winner which saw his team go joint top but second on goal difference.
