Lads of Lisboa went into Round 2 on a high after a comprehensive victory and looked to continue that form when they met Csabagyongye. The game for Csabagyongye was a chance to put opening game defeat behind them.

 

With the game underway it was a reversal of fortune for the two teams as Lads of Lisboa fell two goals behind in the opening half as David Kemeny struck twice. Could Lads of Lisboa pull it back after the break?

 

In the second half it got even better for Csabagyongye as Peter Dovak made it 3-0 and it was Dovak again to make it 4-0 and round off the scoring. It was a great win for the Hungarians and got their campaign off and running.

 

It was a disappointment for Lads of Lisboa but they had three games left to regain their opening game form.

 
 
 

Futsal Pioes met FC Dad in the next fixture. FC Dad were making their third eurofootballfives appearance in Lisbon. Prague was the destination for their debut with us where they reached the Plate Quarter-Finals. They followed this up by playing in the 2012 Valencia Fives where they narrowly missed out on glory, losing 3-2 in the Trophy Final.

 

They were looking to improve on this in Lisbon and had started well with opening game victory. This continued with a pretty even first half there was not too much between them and Futsal Pioes. There was a goal from Malakias Ramos for the Portuguese before the break that gave them the advantage.

 

In the second half Pedro Gomes made it 2-0 and FC Dad had it all to do. Gomes then made it 3-0 and it was game over. The win put Futsal Pioes on top of Group A.

 
 
 

To complete the second round of fixtures was Funsport A versus Breckland FC. Funsport A could go top of the table if they could take victory by more than 3 goals. For Breckland FC, other results meant they currently sat in 6th place so were in need of the points.

 

Funsport A started off like they meant business and they showed no mercy on the visiting team from England as they raced into a 5-1 lead. Jorge Mendes opened the scoring before goals from Ivo Samoes (2), Hermani Beaumondo and Germano Paluna added to the tally.

 

After the break Funsport A extended the lead with Hermani Beaumondo, Germano Paluna and Hugo Jacob made it 8-1. Jorge Mendes opened the scoring and he finished it too to make it 9-1.

 

The highlight for Breckland FC was a consolation goal for Tom Barber.
