With the three teams at the top of Group B breaking away from the rest there would be a real dogfight amongst the teams in 4th -6th to try and grab the last remaining knock-out qualification place.

Two teams trying to gain that initiative would face each other in the first game of Round 3 – Groundforce Lisboa versus ACE & The Swagmen. In a pretty even first half the Portuguese would lead at the interval by the odd goal as Tiago Correia's two goals for the Groundforce gave them a 2-1 lead over Joe Humphrey's strike for the Swagmen.

The next goal was always likely to be crucial – could the Swagmen get it to even things up or could Groundforce Lisboa gain some breathing space. Sadly for the English but joyfully for the Portuguese it was the latter – Paulo Pereira made it 3-1. Before the end there was time for Tiago Correia to make it 4-1 and complete a hat-trick for him personally.

It was an extremely valuable 3 points for Groundforce Lisboa.

CSB Stars and HS Décor then met in the first top of the table clash in Group B. Both teams had two wins, 6 points and a 100% record. HS Décor sat in 2nd and CSB Stars in 3rd separated only by 1 goal of goal difference.

It looked like two teams from 3 for Cup qualification from Group B and this result may well prove crucial in deciding these two teams fates. It was the proverbial game of two halves as CSB Stars took the first half 1-0 thanks to Goncalo Fennura.

HS Décor fought back in the 2nd half with an equalizer from Marco Coelho and things got even better for HS Décor when Rui Pina put them ahead.

HS Décor held on for the 2-1 win that saw them go top on 9 points.

The final game of Round 3 saw FC Dynamoes face FC Maroon. This was a 1st place versus 5th place fixture with a team looking for 3 wins out of 3 taking on a team yet to take a point. The form book strongly suggested a home win. The form book was spouting nonsense and should be torn up.

Honours were even at half time as a goal from Michael Cox (FC Dynamoes) and Hertej Rattan (FC Maroon) cancelled each other out. Rattan's 4th goal in 3 games gave FC Maroon a 2-1 lead. FC Dynamoes had a real battle on to maintain their 100% record which got even harder when James Alawi's 3rd goal in 3 games made it 3-1. A surprise was on the cards.

Nerves must have started jangling when FC Dynamoes came back to 3-2 (Jon Stead's 8 th of the campaign) but FC Maroon had enough in the tank to see this one out and claim a sensational victory.
