Argon'ze made their debut at the 2016 Barcelona Fives. They were drawn in the 8-team Group C and made a very solid start with two draws including a 0-0 against the eventual champions in their opening fixture. They then struggled with three defeats before a strong finish. They won their final two games (both 1-0) to finish in 5th position. It meant they qualified for the Trophy knock-out phase where they departed at the Quarter-Final stage due to a 4-1 defeat to Spanish side Bolivar.

They then took 2 teams to the 2017 Mallorca Fives. Argon'ze finished 3 rd of 6 teams in Group C with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. They qualified for the Plate and defeated the Netherlands' FC De Rimmer 3-0 in the Quarter-Finals before a 2-1 defeat to another Dutch team, Mannenliefde.

They also returned to the Barcelona Fives in 2017. The Argon'ze team struggled in a very tough group and finished 7 th of 8 teams to miss out on the knock-out phase although their Ze'Argon team fared much better.

Today, Argon'ze had kicked off with a 5-0 win and they were on the winning trail again here. Goals from Benjamin Cahart and then Thomas Bovier combined with a second clean sheet for their defence ensured it was 2 wins out of 2 for the French team.

Sadly for TomTom United it was 3 defeats in 3 games – they sat in fifth position in the table.

Black Magic AFC (Eng) and Club Esportiu Llefia (Spa) both came into this fixture with 100% records. Black Magic AFC had only played the one game to date compared with the two wins for their Spanish opponents.

This was Club Esportiu Llefia's fourth Barcelona Fives campaign and their group record so far read:

2015: Played 4, Won 2, Drew 2, Lost 0, For 9, Against 7, Points 8 (1st)

2016: Played 7, Won 4, Drew 1, Lost 2, For 20, Against 6, Points 13 (3rd)

2017: Played 7, Won 1, Drew 1, Lost 5, For 8, Against 17, Points 4 (8th)

As noted in Round 2, 2017 was a blip due to injuries but the results from 2015 and 2016 showed they were an excellent team but you did have a chance against them. Black Magic AFC must have fancied their chances as this turned out to be a bit of a feisty battle with both teams going 100% for the win.

When the referee drew the game to a close it was Club Esportiu Llefia who emerged victorious, 2-0. Goals from Dani Martin Montes and Alfred Jimenez de Andres kept today's winning run going for the Spanish.

The next game in Round 3 was a very intriguing one. It was the teams in second and third place meeting head-to-head. Argon'ze were looking to continue their 100% record and join Club Esportiu Llefia at the top of the table on 9 points. Pass To Russ FC could also join the Spanish at the summit of Group A but they had played a game more and arguably needed the result more than their opponents.

Argon'ze were making their best ever start to our tournament with 2 opening wins but their run was to be ended here. Pass To Russ FC would no doubt have come into the game on a high having previously won 6-0 and they were looking to emulate that here as they raced into a 4-0 lead. There were 2 goals each for Russell Dyer (who moved on to 11 for the tournament) and Jeremy Farrar (who took his tally to 3) as the English side had now scored 10 goals without reply.

It wasn't quite over just yet as the French team made a late comeback. Nicolas Laharque reduced the deficit to 4-1 and then 4-2 but the damage was already done and they were just too far behind.

Final score, 4-2. It was Pass To Russ FC who moved into second position and the second Cup qualifying position.
