We had quite a game to look forward to at the start of Round 4 with two of the main challengers in Group C coming head-to-head. It was Sao Pedro versus Bafta Boys. The Portuguese had a 100% record and were yet to concede. Bafta Boys were also yet to concede but a 0-0 draw in the first game meant they were two points behind their opponents.

The clean sheet record of Sao Pedro bit the dust in the first half as Tom Lambourne scored his second goal in as many games. The 2012 Berlin Fives Semi-Finalists were growing stronger by the game and this would be a significant victory if they could maintain the lead. Sao Pedro were behind for the first time in the tournament and how would they respond?

Pretty well was the answer as Li Banto Batista scored his third goal in two games to equalise for the Portuguese. There was no addition to the score as the game finished 1-1 and only time would tell if this was 2 points dropped or a point gained. It's our view here that it was a pretty good point for both teams. Sao Pedro remained top and Bafta Boys inched closer to Cup qualification.

Bede FC were to take on Sapadores in the next Group C fixture in the battle between the two teams at the foot of the table. The two teams were yet to put points on the board and Sapadores were yet to find the back of the opposition net. The winner in this tie would take a strong step forward to qualifying for the Plate competition with the loser struggling. A draw may well help both if the other 6th placed teams failed to put points on the board.

Sadly for Bede FC, Sapadores chose now to find their shooting boots. There was only one goal in the game but it was a cracker and it came out of nowhere. There seemed to be little danger for Bede FC as the ball was on its way to Jose Peres just inside the Bede FC half but Peres ran on to the ball and hit a thunderous first time strike from distance. It was a corker of a strike that had all watching applauding.

Bede FC must have wondered what they'd done wrong to be on the wrong end of this strike. The goal won the game for Sapadores who switched places with Bede FC and moved into 5th.

Parry St Germain started Round 4 in 2nd place and they would need at least a draw to maintain that position. They could even reach the summit of Group C with a 3 goal win. Chateau Bravado stood in their way and would be determined for that not to happen. They had started well but two consecutive defeats had de-railed their challenge but with two games to go all was not lost – they would have to win their last two games though.

It didn't start well for Chateau Bravado Old Boys as they slipped behind to a Stuart Parry goal in the first half. It was a lead Parry St Germain were to hold until the break and a third consecutive win was within their grasp.

Chateau Bravado Old Boys hit back though as Ian Blades scored his third goal of the tournament and leveled the match at 1-1. It was a blow to Parry St Germain as the win would virtually have guaranteed their Cup status. For Chateau Bravado Old Boys it was a good point and a well-earned point.
