We
mentioned in Round 3 that Water Boy had never
failed to reach the Cup competition. With a
return of 3 points they had to win their last
two games and even then 9 points may not be
enough depending upon results elsewhere. First
things first though and they had to win this
one – not going to be easy against Ecclesfield
Eagles though.
The
English team were on a great run of 3 successive
wins and a fourth would seal their own Cup qualification
and put them in the box seat for the Group B
title. He match was to prove a very evenly matched
contest and both defences were on top as we
finished level at 0-0.
It
was the first dropped points of the day for
Ecclesfield Eagles who moved into first place
on 10 points on their own but they were now
vulnerable to being overtaken if FC Hollywood
could take advantage.
For Water
Boy it was a well-earned draw but in the context
of Group B it was not enough. They remained
in 4th place for now with the Plate looming
for them.
